Pat McGrath Club Kiss & Fuchsia Perfect BlitzTrance Lipstick Reviews & Swatches
Club Kiss
Pat McGrath Club Kiss BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deep berry with subtle, cool undertones paired with red and purple pearl and larger sparkle. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that covered my lips evenly with a good dispersion of shimmer as well. It had a lightweight, emollient consistency that glided across my lips ease but did not feel heavy or slippery on, so it adhered well and never feathered or bled past my natural lip line. I could feel that there was a lot of sparkle in the formula when I was applying as well as if I pressed my lips together while I wore the lipstick, which may or may not be a concern for some. The color stayed on well for six hours, while the shininess seemed present for four to four and a half hours of wear (before it started to dull). The formula kept my lips hydrated while I wore it.

Formula Overview
$40.00/0.13 oz. - $307.69 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "one-stroke colour" with "ultra-reflective pearls" paired with a "silky" and "creamy" texture that yields "multi-dimensional shine." The pigmentation varied from shade to shade with more medium to semi-opaque pigmentation that "full coverage," and the amount of shimmer/glitter also varied significantly from to shade. For example, Blitz Trance has a very glittery look on the lips, whereas Flesh Fatale had a subtle, sparkling finish. They had a lot of shine, though, with being wet in feel or all that glossy, which seemed to linger for longer than the average lipstick--the shine didn't immediately dull after taking a sip of something or talking for a few minutes.
The consistency was lightly creamy with moderate slip, but it didn't feel too thick or heavy, so the color didn't slide around on my lips and adhered evenly for the most part. Shades that were more glittery felt that way in the tube as I applied them to my lips with the glitter being less noticeable on my lips, though those who may be more sensitive to glitter may find it at least somewhat apparent--at the very least, this formulation is not disguising the texture of all that sparkly goodness. They were lightly to moderately hydrating, comfortable to wear, and lasted between three and five hours. I feel like the best way to sum these up as: they're sparkling and luminous with medium, buildable color payoff that lasts an average length of time. They did not have any scent or taste from what I could tell!

Fuchsia Perfect
Pat McGrath Fuchsia Perfect BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a bright, medium fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and flecks of gold, pink, and fuchsia pearl/sparkle. It had medium coverage, which was buildable to semi-opaque pigmentation best, but the color applied evenly across my lips, while the sparkle distributed evenly as well. The texture was lightweight, emollient without feeling wet/slippery (though it looked shiny enough to be wet!), which made it comfortable to wear and easy to manipulate. I could feel bits of the sparkle coming through when I applied it from the tube, and also when I pressed my lips together. This shade wore nicely for five and a half hours, left a faint pinkish stain behind, and was hydrating, but worth noting, the shine itself was visible for four and a half of those hours (despite drinking a cup of coffee).

Wow!!! That Club Kiss looks sensational on you!!!
Stunning shades, particularly Club Kiss.
I got my Club Kiss and Rebel Red yesterday and tried both of them on my lips last night. I love them so much. I put Club Kiss on my upper lip and Rebel Red on the lower and they wore really well and were quite comfortable to wear. I was surprised at how comfortable as I wasn’t bothered by the glitter rubbing together and making my lips sore as many other glitter lippies have done. I am thinking about picking up one of the purple shades!
These shades are right up my alley. Thankfully, I have dupes.
Only the very best m/u designers/manufacturers can create products that are equal parts glitzy/blitzy and refined. Pat does that. So did old MUFE eyeshadow. With Pat, the statement is never shouted. It doesn’t have to be; it’s that obvious.
These are really gorgeous, but thanks for the warning about being able to feel the sparkles, which will keep these shades firmly out of consideration for me. They do look pretty, though.
