ColourPop Bloom2Bloom, Oasis, & Virgo Moon Velvet Blur Lux Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Bloom2Bloom
ColourPop Bloom2Bloom Velvet Blur Lux Lipstick ($7.50 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep peach with warm, orange undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, but the texture was unforgiving: it sank into my lip lines, separated along them, and caught on imperfections I didn’t know I had! (I always exfoliate prior to doing lip swatches.)
The texture felt smooth and velvety as it glided over my lips, so it didn’t feel bad, but it looked less stellar on. It wore decently for four hours but did further separate along my lip lines over time, while the formula felt neither drying nor hydrating.

It's supposed to have a "soft focus, blurring effect" with "buildable" color that can deliver "high impact colour" with a "silky, velvet soft texture" that "smooths over fine lines and imperfections" without "drying out your lips." They have a velvety slip to them, as they're packed with silicone, and so they have that smooth feel as they go over the lips but have a lightweight, almost powder-like finish that makes me think of a "soft matte." From a normal viewing distance, like at a glance in a mirror or another person viewing you while having a face-to-face conversation, as opposed to checking one's lips close-up in the mirror, I saw the "blur" effect--soft, slightly understated color with a matte finish. The lack of opacity in some of them gave them a "softer" appearance to my eye.
That being said, I didn't experience any smoothing, and I haven't personally found that the more silicone-heavy lipstick formulas go that far in smoothing my lip lines; I'd actually feel like they're more likely to emphasize imperfections as the lipstick caught on flakes and settled into lip lines. There were some shades that applied more unevenly and were more prone to settling noticeably in my lip lines than others, and there were a few that applied evenly and were flattering with respect to texture on me as well. As always, I do my best to ensure that I exfoliate my lips regularly and keep my lips hydrated when not testing lip products (at night and the like) to try and have a "good" canvas for lip colors.
The coverage varied from shade to shade with most shades offering medium, buildable coverage, though some of the deeper and more vivid shades were more semi-opaque to nearly opaque in a single layer. The color faded a bit more readily from the center of my lips compared to the outer edges but was fairly even in how they wore down. Only the very deepest/more red-toned shades stained my lips (and only slightly) after wearing them. They seemed mostly non-drying but a few felt a little more drying to me. The formula has a sweet, burnt sugar scent but no discernible taste.

Oasis
ColourPop Oasis Velvet Blur Lux Lipstick ($7.50 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep, pink-coral with soft, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly full color payoff in one stroke, but I had issues with the way the product sat on my lips.
The formula is designed to blur lines and smooth them out, and yet it emphasized my lip texture, lip lines, and product sank noticeably into my lip lines. While the texture felt velvety and smooth as it glided over my lips, it did the exact opposite it was supposed to in its finish. On me, the color lasted well for four and a half hours, but I had more product accumulate in my lip lines over time, though the formula was non-drying.

Virgo Moon
ColourPop Virgo Moon Velvet Blur Lux Lipstick ($7.50 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, dusty coral with strong, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a smooth, velvety texture that was very lightweight and comfortable to apply. The issue I had with it was that it emphasized my lip lines noticeably, had color sink into them, and the finish was prone to accentuating my natural lip texture rather than blurring it out like it was supposed to! It stayed on well for four hours but had additional settling over time, though the formula was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

I’m wondering whether these may look fine applied over MAC Prep & Prime Lips? If so, I would love the actual color of Virgo Moon, even if I’m no fan of the name. It has a beautiful 90’s lip effect!
Pretty bad for CP. Especially in the close-up. Glad I never got any. Bet this formula gets d/c’d pretty quickly.
Well this formula isn’t new. I have their previous blur lip products and they work really well. I persona have never had a problem with them
Gosh, this is so not like CP’s lipsticks, which are usually excellent. I guess this is what happens when you over release products continually, the quality dimmishes.
