ColourPop Avatar: The Last Airbender Palette Review & Swatches
Avatar The Last Airbender
ColourPop Avatar The Last Airbender 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($14.00 for 0.3 oz.) is a new, limited edition 12-pan palette that is divided into four rows (water, earth, fire, and air). The quality was comparable with past palettes from the brand; pigmented, blendable, and longer-wearing with a few shades being a little powdery or prone to fallout but nothing major.

Water Tribe
Water Tribe is a pale lavender with an iridescent sheen. It had sheerer, more buildable coverage that was best applied with a fingertip to avoid fallout and ensure evenness of coverage due to the texture being a bit thin and powdery. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Moon Spirit
Moon Spirit is a darker, cooler lavender base with iridescent, pale blue sparkle and shine. It was actually a more unique shade because it had quite a deep base but was also rather cool-toned. It had opaque pigmentation with a smooth, lightly emollient texture that picked up well with a dry brush. This shade wore well for eight hours on me before fading visibly.

Ice Shield
Ice Shield is a faded, medium-dark periwinkle blue with strong, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had a moderately powdery texture that was thinner and more prone to sheering out than other matte shades in the palette. It had medium coverage that was more buildable and easier to work with over a primer. It lasted well for eight hours on me.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Very pretty at first sight, but I’m also seeing some discombobulation in its curation. I love it, but I think that I will have to give it a pass for now.
Gosh, I’m loving this, but can dupe lots of shades, but of course, no dupe for the lovely moon spirit….
That’s the winner in the palette for me. I’m not going to buy it for one shade, though.
Same..but with CP it is always tempting.. then I go to the website and think everything is very inexpensive until shipping is added and it is in US dollars, and then it is not exactly the bargain I believe it to be.
This is quite a good palette and I do like the theme. I just wish that CP had been a little more imaginative with the shades and not put in so many reds…..
I hope they restock it soon! It’s so pretty.
The second and fourth columns are just total “no go zones” for me.
Wednesday, I actually have a dupe for Moon Spirit in a Huda palette. I never use the shade (which probably explains why so little of this palette would get any use from me) and if it were easier to dig it out, I’d send it along to you, via Canada Post!!!!
Which palette is this? I don’t have an extensive Huda collection, but I don’t recall any of my palettes having a similar shade. I’m loving Moon Spirit as well!
I was not interested in this palette at all until I saw your eye look. You make every palette look so, so pretty!
AtLA is one of my favorite intellectual properties out there, hands down, but I won’t be buying this collection. Not unique enough to warrant it and the packaging feels hamfisted (I think they could’ve gone with a much more elegant/in-universe look rather than just slapping the characters on everything and calling it a day).
Also, it is a CRIME that there isn’t a truer green named “My Cabbages!”.
