ColourPop 11:11 Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
11 11
ColourPop 11:11 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($22.00 for 0.3 oz.) is a new, oversized 12-pan palette that included six matte shades, one sparkle-matte shade, two shimmer shades, and three glitter shades. Two of the three glitter shades had a sparser amount of glitter particles, while one was mostly glitter; these three contained plastic (PET) glitter. The quality of the eyeshadows, generally, was good and consistent with the brand’s formulas: pigmented, blendable, and easy enough to use with some powderiness from mattes.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

I honestly don’t get why Balanced and Manifest It had to get RUINED by CP adding unnecessary PET glitter flecks to shades that were perfectly fine without it. All I can say to those who decide to get this palette is that perhaps tap your brush good before applying those two. For me? It gets a nope!
I agrée. I pretty much won’t buy a palette that has any shades containing that glitter ingredient, and I have started to view adding them as a “rookie move”.
It could have been a lovely neutral leaning palette – but no – CP ruined it by having too many matte shades and by including unnecessary glitter PET at that to its shimmer shades. Major Change was the only shade I liked in the end.
Yes Genevieve, they ruined what could have been a rather nice palette that one could have used for either cooler toned everyday looks, or as a something perfect for a more conservative work/professional environment. One bad experience years ago with a PET glitter eyeshadow was enough for me to be extra cautious when it comes to them. I do still own that Marc Jacobs Sequins single pot of something that has it, but haven’t used it since the incident involving using it. If I ever do again, it WILL be with my Nyx Glitter Primer and taken off with q-tips in an upward, away from the edge of lashline!
Manifest It and Balance remind me of Urban Decay’s old eyeshadows.
As I suspected, I like Total Angel, Perfect Harmony and Major Change but have multiple dupes of all of them so not interested in this palette.
The colours are pretty, but I’m not going to buy any of Colourpop’s palettes that contain glitter anymore. Every palette that I have purchased has spoiled and started to smell like rancid oil after 6 months, and I store all my makeup in a dark, cool place. Their normal shimmer/frost formula and mattes are fine; it’s just the ones with glitter. One palette, I can overlook, but I’ve had this happen to four palettes. Even when I throw out the affected pans, the smell still lingers.
I ran this through the palette to palette comparison with Natasha Denona’s I Need A Nude and it was steady at about a strong 50%.
