Clinique Berry Pop (03) Cheek Pop Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Berry Pop (03)
Clinique Berry Pop (03) Cheek Pop Blush ($25.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a vibrant, medium-dark fuchsia pink with blue undertones and a satiny sheen. It’s intensely pigmented with buildable and blendable color; there’s no doubt that this is going to be a more intense blush, so it’ll work well across all skin tones, but fairer skin tones may want to use a light hand and more feathery brush (or a stippling brush).
The texture is soft and smooth, feels more like a cream than a powder (but definitely a powder), so the color can easily be sheered out for a softer, flushed look or applied more dramatically for true-to-pan color. It has a soft, satiny finish that’s naturally luminous but not overly shimmery or frosted. Berry Pop wore nicely for eight hours before starting to fade along the edges.

Formula Overview
$21.00/0.12 oz. - $175.00 Per Ounce
The formula is described as “vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless.” The texture was smooth, soft, and dense, so it was never powdery in the pan or on the skin. The blush had good color payoff that was easily sheered out (or you could apply less, as the denser texture makes that easy to control).
It’s the kind of texture that almost blends itself as soon as you start applying and working it onto the skin. The finish became more luminous as I blended the powder onto the skin, but it was never shiny or overly shimmery, so it always looked smooth on my skin and did not emphasize pores or my skin’s texture. Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

I love all of the shades!-absolutely gorgeous!
Me too!
It reminds me of Bikini which was part of Dior Pop Art limited edition (summer 2013)!
Oh, I don’t remember that one!
Holy crap, Clinique. This entire line is so pretty.
It is!
Might have to pick this up >< Such a sucker for pink blushes
Let me know if you end up getting it, C!
SO gorgeous! I have a feeling all four will be mine. I’m liking these more than the hourglass ones…shocker.
Me too! 🙂 Hourglass’ blushes are really nice, but these were really special!
By the way Christine, which brush do you recommend to use with these?
I used Tom Ford’s Cheek Brush, but it also worked well with MAC’s 131!
Christine, I wasn’t able to find the ingredient list for this formula anywhere online. Would you be able to spot it somewhere on the packaging? I would like to make sure there is nothing I am allergic to before I order online. Thanks!
Hi Tugce,
I don’t have any boxes for these. I only received the actual compacts, so you’ll need to contact Clinique or call a local store that might be able to read the ingredient list to you!
You can usually find ingredients lists on Sephora’s site! HTH
Sephora doesn’t list them for this product – I double-checked before replying to the reader 🙂
I was so crazy excited for the Hourglass Ambient blushers and they look nice too, but these….THESE!!! It’s a rare day that I’m particularly impressed by anything Clinique puts out, but these look like something special. Thanks for reviewing, Christine!
My pleasure, J-Boggie! 😀
I haven’t bought any makeup by Clinique for a long time, but this blusher is adorable. I love the pattern and the pink shade is stunning, so I’m guessing I’ll be heading to a Clinique counter pretty soon :o) Xx
You definitely have to check ’em out, Charlotte!
It didn’t look too groundbreaking on the pan (this shade in particular) but I love how it looks on your cheeks!
It’s a very intense shade!
This blush is just so pretty, it makes me feel happy!
I loooove the color, it’s like Givenchy’s Fuchsia Irresistible for cheeks.
Will definitely buy this along with the other colors :3
Yay!!
This looks so good on you, so super fresh! I’m so pleased to find out the formula is great!
Thank you, @Iana!
Couldn’t wait for your reviews to get Plum Pop!!!! As soon as I got Sephora’s email about Hourglass Ethereal Glow being stocked, I got both! If I didn’t have to work I’d be waiting by the door for the little Sephora box 🙂
Can’t wait for you to receive your new blushes, Mariana!
Oh my! This is the one I was waiting for and how pretty it is. It looks a lot like MAC Her Blooming Cheek (which I’ve had for years and haven’t even made a dent in) so now I’m sort of wondering if I really need this or if I should just be using Her Blooming Cheek more often.
I think this is a better quality product, but Her Blooming Cheek is quite pigmented so most of the improvement is in the texture. At the very least, maybe use HBC more often and if you REALLY love it, then acquire this one!
This is my favorite of the Cheek Pop Blush shades, and I’m eyeing this for my next blush purchase. Are these LE for Spring or a new part of the permanent collection?
As far as I know, these are permanent! Clinique’s website usually lists limited edition and these say new.
GREAT! I still regret missing Tom Ford’s Narcissist blush – I didn’t want to miss this line, too.
I was quite surprised that the formula was so spot on with these. Clinique isn’t usually on my radar at all. It’s a relief that they only have four shades, because with these on my wishlist as well as the new Hourglass blushes I’m sort of in blush overload now haha
They’re not usually on my radar either, at least not for makeup!
like i said before … these blush and the whole makeup is so well balanced 😀
101% getting these Christine 🙂 these am sure will show nicely on my skin 😀
cant thank you enough for the awesome pictures and FOTD’s 🙂
and honest no non sense reviews … i hope you understand what i mean … 🙂
one may think you get samples but we have seen you buying whole collection for us and this is what makes you stand out amongst sea of beauty bloggers
beautiful on you and they are made for you 🙂
already added in cart just waiting for right time 😀
Thank you so much, Rashmi! 🙂
This will be lovely on you!!
This one is really pretty!
Agreed!
Very pretty! I think Peach Pop is my favorite so far, though!
That’s a good one!
Hi Christine,
Can I use this blush as an eyeshadow since MAC discontinued one of my favourites as usual. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
I’m not sure, since this is a blush, I don’t know if it’s eye-safe (due to dyes).
What did you use to apply this? It looks like a very pigmented product but you managed to sheer it out nicely. I have issues with being too heavy handed with blushes. Also, I tried to find your post about your latest skin stuff but couldn’t find it. What did you say your PCP prescribed you that has helped? Thanks!
I used Tom Ford’s Cheek Brush, but MAC’s 131 works well for a softer application.
I use a topical antibiotic (clindamycin) and topical cream (Differin).
Yay! As I told you yest this is the one I got. And I am so glad it performed the same way as the other 2. Just waiting for the shipment now! 🙂
🙂 Can’t wait for you to get it!
This is gorgeous! I have so many blushes but I have to make room for these and the Hourglass ones. Just too pretty!
I know, right? Too many choices!
Clinique has really upped their game! I’m loving these! I will definitely get this one!
I’m in full agreement, Emme!
Wow! All of these colors have been so full-on! Are there any more subtle colors in the collection? I don’t think I’d be able to wear any of the 3 you’ve reviewed without using the lightest of hands.
Plum Pop would be the next lightest!
I’ve been hanging out for your review of the ‘pink’ one! 😀 it looks wonderful!
I’ve never been much of a blush girl (funny since I have like zero pigment to my skin!), but when there are blushes like these and Chanel’s cream ones…they’re converting me!
I usually gravitate toward pinks, but I’m wondering if I should break the mould and use the chance to go peachy with these. My Chanel blush is Affinite, so I definitely have bright pink covered! Anyone have thoughts on a transparently pale, cool toned girl wearing peach blush?
Slowly but surely, we’ll convert to you a blush-a-holic 🙂
Pale, cool toned girls can wear peach! A lot of fairer skin tones with natural redness wear peach to counteract the redness!
I can’t get over how amazing these blushes are!!!
Me neither! I was totally surprised.
It looks so lovely on you! I wish the packaging didn’t look so drugstore though =(
When you feel and hold them, I think they feel a lot less like drugstore products – much sturdier/thicker plastic.
WOW! Hope these blushes will be sold in Italy!
Fingers crossed for you 😀
Gorgeous blush, it looks so pretty on you!
Thank you, Chantel!
It’s very pigmented, but sheered out it still maintains the integrity of the shade. I find with alot of products, they tend to “lose” something, almost changing the color. Because of this, I may have to try this at a counter! I also appreciate how it melds with the natural undertone of the skin, so this may workfor me!
Let me know what you think when you get a chance to see them in person, Amy!
I just picked up Coeur Battant but I want this anyway! The formula just makes me excited lol. I can’t wait to touch it!
LOL! How are you liking Coeur Battant?
Thanks for reviewing these Christine! I think I’ll need to pick up all of these – such a stellar formula and such lovely colors!
My pleasure, Ankita!
I hope Clinique comes out with more shades. None of these would suit me but I’m dying to try the formula!
Me too – fingers crossed!
this too in in my Sephora cart. *_*
Haha!
i love it so much when u put whats on your face products.. tqvm Christine !!
No problem!
Oooooh. Not only is it damn similar to Couer Battant (which I fell in love with), it’s cheaper and permanent… I think NARS just got usurped!
And also, I know how to spell Berry Pop, lol.
LOL!
All true things!
Hi Christine, this looks awesome! You look great as always, but I think I like ginger pop the best on you so far!
One question, it looks a little bit like Nars Mata Hari, how do you think they would compare?
Mata Hari is lighter and more matte!
I got plum pop yesterday and I really do love it. I’m soooo surprised that it’s such a good product from Clinique. The best part is the really really reasonable price….compared to some of my other favorites. I love the new chanel creams…..the hourglass shades look beautiful. How many blushes are too many?
I’ll let you know if I ever find out when there’s a “too many!” 😉
I have to have them starting with this one 🙂
Yay!
Just picked Berry Pop up. My office is directly above a Clinique counter, so I popped in when I went to get lunch. These are so cute in person. I kind of want Ginger Pop too. I have so many blushes and I so did not need another blush, but…I have no willpower. Your reviews sold me.
I hope you end up loving Berry Pop, Lauren! 😀
Hi Christine,
Thanks for the review.
I’m wondering… How does the Berry pop’s color compare to Chanel cream blush in Affinité and the Tom Ford’s powder blush in Flush ?
Xixo
Affinite is lighter, more muted, less shimmery, and less cool-toned. I don’t think it’s like Berry Pop at all. Flush is warm-toned and peachy – did you mean a different shade?
Thanks for the reply <3
Sounds Berry pop is shimmery and cool toned compared to Affinité.
I haven't seen Flush in real yet, i'm waiting a friend to bring one for me when she'll come back from her trip to the US, with some TF brushes and eye shadows 🙂 !!!!!!
The differences would be interesting… An excuse to get one 😛
Xoxo
I never tried clinique blush before but this is so beautiful and I love daisy so I think I’m gonna get all the shade 😀
I hope you love ’em, Pannicha!
How is it compare to thebalm instain lace?is it similar
I believe it’s much lighter and more matte!
