Clinique Berry Pop (03) Cheek Pop Blush

Berry Pop (03)

Clinique Berry Pop (03) Cheek Pop Blush ($25.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a vibrant, medium-dark fuchsia pink with blue undertones and a satiny sheen. It’s intensely pigmented with buildable and blendable color; there’s no doubt that this is going to be a more intense blush, so it’ll work well across all skin tones, but fairer skin tones may want to use a light hand and more feathery brush (or a stippling brush).

The texture is soft and smooth, feels more like a cream than a powder (but definitely a powder), so the color can easily be sheered out for a softer, flushed look or applied more dramatically for true-to-pan color. It has a soft, satiny finish that’s naturally luminous but not overly shimmery or frosted. Berry Pop wore nicely for eight hours before starting to fade along the edges.

Formula Overview

$21.00/0.12 oz. - $175.00 Per Ounce

The formula is described as “vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless.” The texture was smooth, soft, and dense, so it was never powdery in the pan or on the skin. The blush had good color payoff that was easily sheered out (or you could apply less, as the denser texture makes that easy to control).

It’s the kind of texture that almost blends itself as soon as you start applying and working it onto the skin. The finish became more luminous as I blended the powder onto the skin, but it was never shiny or overly shimmery, so it always looked smooth on my skin and did not emphasize pores or my skin’s texture. Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

Christine, I wasn’t able to find the ingredient list for this formula anywhere online. Would you be able to spot it somewhere on the packaging? I would like to make sure there is nothing I am allergic to before I order online. Thanks!

I was so crazy excited for the Hourglass Ambient blushers and they look nice too, but these….THESE!!! It’s a rare day that I’m particularly impressed by anything Clinique puts out, but these look like something special. Thanks for reviewing, Christine!

This blush is just so pretty, it makes me feel happy!
I loooove the color, it’s like Givenchy’s Fuchsia Irresistible for cheeks.
Will definitely buy this along with the other colors :3

Couldn’t wait for your reviews to get Plum Pop!!!! As soon as I got Sephora’s email about Hourglass Ethereal Glow being stocked, I got both! If I didn’t have to work I’d be waiting by the door for the little Sephora box 🙂

Oh my! This is the one I was waiting for and how pretty it is. It looks a lot like MAC Her Blooming Cheek (which I’ve had for years and haven’t even made a dent in) so now I’m sort of wondering if I really need this or if I should just be using Her Blooming Cheek more often.

I was quite surprised that the formula was so spot on with these. Clinique isn’t usually on my radar at all. It’s a relief that they only have four shades, because with these on my wishlist as well as the new Hourglass blushes I’m sort of in blush overload now haha

What did you use to apply this? It looks like a very pigmented product but you managed to sheer it out nicely. I have issues with being too heavy handed with blushes. Also, I tried to find your post about your latest skin stuff but couldn’t find it. What did you say your PCP prescribed you that has helped? Thanks!

I’ve been hanging out for your review of the ‘pink’ one! 😀 it looks wonderful!

I’ve never been much of a blush girl (funny since I have like zero pigment to my skin!), but when there are blushes like these and Chanel’s cream ones…they’re converting me!

I usually gravitate toward pinks, but I’m wondering if I should break the mould and use the chance to go peachy with these. My Chanel blush is Affinite, so I definitely have bright pink covered! Anyone have thoughts on a transparently pale, cool toned girl wearing peach blush?

It’s very pigmented, but sheered out it still maintains the integrity of the shade. I find with alot of products, they tend to “lose” something, almost changing the color. Because of this, I may have to try this at a counter! I also appreciate how it melds with the natural undertone of the skin, so this may workfor me!

I got plum pop yesterday and I really do love it. I’m soooo surprised that it’s such a good product from Clinique. The best part is the really really reasonable price….compared to some of my other favorites. I love the new chanel creams…..the hourglass shades look beautiful. How many blushes are too many?

Just picked Berry Pop up. My office is directly above a Clinique counter, so I popped in when I went to get lunch. These are so cute in person. I kind of want Ginger Pop too. I have so many blushes and I so did not need another blush, but…I have no willpower. Your reviews sold me.

Hi Christine,
Thanks for the review.
I’m wondering… How does the Berry pop’s color compare to Chanel cream blush in Affinité and the Tom Ford’s powder blush in Flush ?
Xixo

Ylona Avatar

Thanks for the reply <3
Sounds Berry pop is shimmery and cool toned compared to Affinité.
I haven't seen Flush in real yet, i'm waiting a friend to bring one for me when she'll come back from her trip to the US, with some TF brushes and eye shadows 🙂 !!!!!!

The differences would be interesting… An excuse to get one 😛
