Cle de Peau Radiant Liquid Rouge
Cle de Peau Fast Lane (15) Radiant Liquid Rouge ($48.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a bright, medium-dark magenta purple with warm, pink undertones and a creamy, almost jelly-like finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that covered fairly evenly, but this was one of the less pigmented shades in the range and did not have the same evenness in the application I had come to expect from the formula. The color wore well for just over five hours and was hydrating, though. MAC Dilly Dazzle (P, $10.00) is darker (95% similar). Urban Decay Bittersweet (DC, $26.00) is darker (90% similar). Cle de Peau Bugatti Red (17) Radiant Liquid Rouge ($48.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a bright, bold medium-dark red with cool, blue undertones and a creamy finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage, but it applied very evenly and smoothly. The texture was gel-like on the lips, but it was lightweight and made my lips appear smoother. This shade wore for over six hours and was moisturizing over time. NARS No. 54 (P, $26.00) is lighter, less glossy (95% similar). MAC RiRi Woo (LE, $21.00) is warmer (95% similar). Cle de Peau Lempicka Red (17) Radiant Liquid Rouge ($48.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish-berry with subtle, cool undertones and a shiny finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which looked like a true stain, as it was translucent but still very visible in color. The consistency was smooth, lightweight, and gel-like, where it made lips appear plumper and smoother. The color wore well for over six hours and felt hydrating on me. Tom Ford Beauty Red Corset (P, $54.00) is lighter (95% similar). MAC Baby's a Vamp (P, $21.00) is lighter (95% similar). Anastasia Carla (-, $16.00) is lighter (95% similar). Cle de Peau Deco (16) Radiant Liquid Rouge ($48.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a medium, coral-orange with warm, reddish undertones and a creamy, lightly shiny finish. Formula Overview
Cle de Peau Radiant Liquid Rouge ($48.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is supposed to be a long-wearing “glossy stain” that give lips a “shiny, vinyl look” with “rich color.” The consistency is smooth, lightweight, and like a watery cream when initially applied, but it develops into a lighter weight gel texture after a few minutes. Most of the shades have medium or greater coverage, long-wearing, high-shine, and are hydrating while worn. There is a subtle floral scent to the formula, but I did not notice it except in the tube and did not encounter any taste. They look more like a stain than they actually behave like one, as I only found the darkest shades to leave behind any trace of color after it had worn away. There is a slight tackiness after an hour or so, but it never turned truly sticky.

Deco is sooooo pretty! Yep, definitely liking the look of these.
Yay! ;D
I’m far too cheap to spend over $50 dollars on a lipgloss, no matter how good. I do not wear it oft enough. Fast Lane is pretty, but no probability of buying.
Makes sense to me – gloss is one of the easiest products to turn, too, so if you aren’t wearing it often enough to finish, $50~ is a lot.
I like Deco!
Yay!
They look so beautiful on you Christine !
Thanks, Nicole! 🙂
Loving Fast Lane.
Yay! 🙂
They all look pretty. I think my favorites on you are Deco and Fast Lane! One of the first things I noticed was rose water in the ingredients, so that’s interesting that it has a floral scent that doesn’t transfer to the lips or have a taste. I also like reading that it’s lightweight and doesn’t turn sticky, woohoo! Cle de Peau is a brand I’ve been eyeing because it seems so beautiful and luxurious…thanks for this review, Christine! <3
I could be less sensitive to the scent perhaps, though I usually notice florals, lol, and taste, oh, I tend to find those as I sip my coffee. Nothing is worse than soap and coffee!!
Lempika and Deco are oh so pretty.
They are!
These seem lovely, but remind me a lot of the new YSL Vinyl stains of which I already own 5, so cannot.
Glad you have something similar already, Andrea!
I’m really liking the Lempika Red. I think it might be dark enough to suit me. Colors like Bugatti Red tend to scream *bright!* on my face, lol. Nothing wrong with that, but I don’t need a whole lot of lip products that do that. These are pretty expensive, though; I’ve never tried anything from this brand. I feel like my Tom Ford lip colors are worth it even though they cost a lot; a combination of quality + unusual colors make them worth it to me. Lempicka Red is a bit darker than Red Corset, which I like.
Bugatti Red could definitely get bright!! Totally understand that one doesn’t need 40 versions of it 😉
Those two reds are amazing! I, of course, have a weakness for Lempicka Red. It has that depth I gravitate to. But I still cannot comprehend spending so much on a lipgloss. At least not for me. Yet, I will happily turn right around and spend $80 on an eyeshadow quad? ?
(Once palette-mania has calmed down!)
I totally understand, Nancy! 🙂
I mean, with an eyeshadow quad, while there’s the technical expiration, most of us keep our powders for many years – gloss will go bad for sure.
Exactly. I rarely ever get to use up a whole lip product before I have something to worry about! Eyeshadow can easily be worn way past the expiration date, not lip stuff.
Lempicka is beautiful; I only wish I felt less self-conscious in red.
Awww! Have you tried wearing it as a stain, maybe around the house, and then building up?
I’m working on that with red in general; it’s partly the brightness of the color and contrast with my hair and skin and partly worrying about how it’s wearing off (evenly or not) that makes it stressful. I’ve started wearing it more often but for shorter events so I don’t have to worry about wear during a meal or reception etc.
Lempika is my fave but I have a dupe. The Revlon is much darker on me however!
Phew!
The reds ones are beautifully pigmented.
They are!
I love the finish! Are these considered glosses? They seem like a liquid lipstick since the coverage is so wonderful – I love these but have to find a color I can wear *sigh*.
Radiant Liquid Rouge Lip Lacquer: I don’t think this means it is a gloss?
Too much money
These are so beautiful and pigmented! I like Lempicka Red especially.
These look gorgeous!!
Both reds!
I’m not going to buy either of them, but they are just gorgeous. I’ll take e close look at the dupelist though.
Lempicka Red is my favorite! I think Fast Lane is really pretty although I can’t wear pink.
It is a pretty shade! Very rich!
