Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Dreamy Glow Highlighter
Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson Dreamy Glow Highlighter ($65.00 for 0.42 oz.) is described as “peaches and cream.” It’s a soft, light-medium gold-shimmered peach with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. Urban Decay Glint (LE, ) is darker, more muted. bareMinerals The Love Affair (LE, $26.00) is lighter. Becca Opal (P, $41.00) is lighter. Becca Opal (P, $41.00) is lighter. Urban Decay Aura (P, $29.00) is less shimmery. Kevyn Aucoin Starlight (P, $44.00) is more shimmery. Too Faced Pop of Light (P, ) is less shimmery, lighter. MAC Summer Opal (LE, $26.00) is lighter. Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment (Original) (P, $26.00) is warmer. Becca Champagne Pop (LE, $38.00) is lighter, warmer. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
This limited edition highlighter is designed to give a “soft, mood-lit” glow that is supposed to be easy to use and give the skin a “soft-focus effect.” The texture was incredibly smooth and finely-milled; it almost felt like a cream-based product with how silky and smooth the consistency was (and it never felt powdery!). It applies easily to the skin and nearly blends itself, while the shimmer is noticeable on the skin, it didn’t emphasize pores. It’s not the most over-the-top highlighter, but it isn’t a subtle one either. On fairer complexions, I suspect it will add a little warmth and peachy color as well as a sheen, but my medium skin tone eats up all that peach and yields mostly a golden sheen. The highlighter lasted well for eight and a half hours on me before fading along the edges.

That settles it. I NEED THIS. That packaging has been calling to me. Take my money.
Enjoy, Staci!
Do you happen to know who the model on this is. I know one of the bags has Jerri Hall, but I’m not sure who the other girls are.
“The glamorous, vintage-style compact features an image of Carmen Dell’Orefice shot by Norman Parkinson for Vogue, in the Bahamas. Charlottte fell in love with this image as soon as she saw it – it’s chic, timeless and glamorous. Charlotte is inspired by Carmen’s dreamy, ethereal beauty – her perfect almond eyes, beautiful heart lips and killer cheekbones.”
I am excited to see you reviewing this collection .I would like to try it. Love the vintage photos like Jerri Hall covering the compacts. Especially looking foreword to a review on “glow of youth” cheek/lip product. Thanks!
Sure thing!
sorry, I mean “color of youth” compact!
Glad this got a great score! The gold shimmer looks gorgeous
It’s very pretty!
Christine, a general question about the “Dupe List” (I’m just asking it here because this is the newest thread). Why do I NEVER, ever see the blue checkmark that stands for “Community Verified” on the list, even when it’s clear that more people than just you/Temptalia have rated the dupe? For example, if 2 or 3 people have said that the dupe is “Darker (2)” or “More Simmery (3)”, it seems that others have rated the “dupe-ness” and yet there is no blue “Community Verified” checkmark showing. I’ve wondered about this for ages….
Community verified requires a certain threshold of people to affirmatively confirm that is a dupe – I don’t know what the threshold is (someone would have to look at the code), but it’s probably either 5 or closer to 10.
Oh, okay – that explains it! It’s one of those things I just wondered about a lot. Can ya tell I rely on the Dupe List frequently (I’m sure everyone here appreciates that resource!).
This highlighter wasn’t on my radar at all but then I realised the other day that the photo was taken at Love Beach Nassau, The Bahamas (my home) and I felt like I should own it, hehe. I haven’t purchased it yet but now that I’ve seen that it’s received such a great review from you Christine…it may push me over the edge. 🙂
It’s a really nice highlighter if you don’t have something like it 🙂
Well, darn. I was half-hoping this would get a terrible review so I wouldn’t have to buy it. 😉
lol!
Yep, I love this highlighter. I was a bit queasy about the price. I’m so glad it scored well! It seems like a ton of product to me and the packaging is gorgeous. Like I can be a slob and leave it out and it looks like it should be there!
It is a nice one! 🙂 Cheaper than Chanel, eh?
True! I own no Chanel highlighters. Seems like they are always LE. I’m going to have to keep my eye out for a good one this fall and Holiday!
Wow, that’s a beautiful finish! I hope they release permanent shades with this formula! I think this shade is too dark for me though, especially at this price point. Wow it is pretty though!
I hope they will make this permanent, too! And not so pricey… without the image.
I got this couple week back and I absolutely love it. It is very pretty. I’m so happy to see it got a good rating from you 🙂 I can see you’re glowing Christine. 🙂
Thank you, Valerie!
Pretty! I don’t care much for the packaging/theme though.
Ah, if the packaging is not for you, the price points may not be justifiable!
Kind of off topic, but that MUFE foundation looks GREAT on you! This is the second time I’ve noticed something was different, and both times you were wearing it! Do you plan on doing a review?
I don’t know yet, sorry!
Agreed. 😀 Please do a review Christine, it looks amazing on you.
I love the packaging!
Yay!
Does anyone know if this is similar to Cindy-Lou Manizer by theBalm?
Cindy-Lou is a lot pinker!
This highlighter is soo pretty! I need it!
Glad ya liked it, Myriam!
Lovely. The packaging on this release is just wonderful, too.
It is a pretty one!
Do you think this would work on super fair cool toned skin as a highlight? It’s incredibly beautiful, so I’m not sure if I should splurge or not! 🙂
I think it could! How do you fare with other warm-toned highlighters?
Very pretty on you Christine. Like the product.
Thanks, Genevieve!
Packaging is stunning the entire collection, but only this looks like something that actually function as legit makeup LOL…And I didn’t notice until now that you get 12g of product in this compact. Worth the money. I am considering getting it.
It is quite a bit!
Pretty but too rich for me!
Aw!
What brush would you recommend for applying this?
I like a tapered brush – something moderately dense but not too dense or fluffy!
