Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson On Call Makeup Bag
Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson On Call Makeup Bag ($45.00) is a “vinyl makeup bag” that features an image of Jerry Hall, which was shot by Norman Parkinson for British Vogue, on Montego Bay, Jamaica in 1975. The interior features two side pockets, which you don’t see too often in makeup bags (especially small-to-medium-sized ones). The bag wrinkles really easily, so you may want to store it stuffed (maybe a scarf) when it is not in use. It stained really easily, as I just had it on my photography table (which always has bits and bobs of makeup after I shoot a bunch of products) and all of the powdery bits that got on it don’t seem to come off. The makeup bag is 7″ in length, 5″ in height, and 1.5″ in width.

This is actually the one item I am comtemplating sending back. I probably won’t because I am sure the shipping back to California will take at least $10 off. I am a little peeved because I went back and forth before I added this to my pre-sale. The one big thing I asked the SA at Beautylish was if it could be wiped off when I saw the light color of the bag. She said it would be able to be wiped off. It is a bit smaller than I hoped for the price. I love the picture on it though. I rarely buy makeup bags because I get so may free bags. This was going to be my bag to throw in my purse with my touch up’s for the day and it is a good size for that. I like that it is soft so I can mush it down if I don’t fill it. Hmmm. Do you know of any way of cleaning bags like this once they are dirty?
No idea how to clean it, but I’m sure someone out there has better luck with cleaning vinyl than I! I am not at all savvy when it comes to removing stains and the like, lol.
Have you tried a Magic Eraser? I don’t have this bag, but it works well to remove stains on my cosmetic bags and leather goods.
Great idea Jenn! I just got a light colored Kate Spade wallet at the Nordstrom sale. I have been fretting over how to clean it as well. I’ll try a magic eraser in an inconspicuous area first ,of course. I love this blog! Thank you. I use them on my walls . But , I would have never though of that!:)
It’s an iconic image, but for $ 45, this shouldn’t wrinkle or stain easily 🙁 Maybe this was meant to be a museum piece, you just collect it, look at it, but don’t use it
Agreed 🙁
its giving me a very Valley of The Dolls vibe but it doesn’t seem worth it as the bag looks very cheap to me
I don’t think it is up to the price point.
