Charlotte Tilbury Midnight Seduction + Sapphire Sex Nocturnal Cat Eyes to Hypnotise ($39.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a navy blue-themed duo, featuring a powder eyeshadow and pencil eyeliner. The eyeshadow is nice, but the eyeliner was a miss.

Midnight Seduction is described as a “sparkling midnight blue.” It’s a deep, bluish charcoal gray with cool undertones and lighter, navy blue and silver shimmer and sparkle. It had great pigmentation with a soft, lightly dry texture that was fairly blendable and easy to use. It sheers out just slightly when I applied it to the lid. On me, the color started to fade after seven and a half hours. LORAC Slate (PiP, $19.00) is darker, cooler (95% similar). Urban Decay Time (LE, $19.00) is lighter (90% similar). Dior Cosmos (281) (P, $31.00) is darker (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty The Parisienne #1 (LE, ) is darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Redemption (LE, $19.00) is warmer (90% similar). Dior Mellow Shade #5 (LE, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC A Sprinkle of Blues #4 (PiP, $21.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Illamasqua Android (P, $25.50) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Revolver (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Space (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Soleil Neige #3 (LE, ) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Sydney Grace Deep Water (P, $5.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). Sapphire Sex is described as a “deep azure.” It’s a blackened navy blue with lighter blue and navy blue sparkle. It had sheer coverage in a single pass, and it was somewhat buildable to more opaque coverage, but it was never as intense as it appeared in the pencil. The texture was drier and not as creamy as other shades in the formula. The color wore well for eight hours. MAC Metalhead (P, $17.00) is darker (95% similar). Sephora Midnight Blue (P, $10.00) is lighter (95% similar). Sephora Iced Out (P, $14.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Sephora Sailor Suit (P, $10.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). NARS Night Flight (P, $24.00) is darker (90% similar). Urban Decay LSD (P, $22.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Just as a general comment and also because CT isn’t available near me, it’s comforting that all of these sets are so very dupe-able (both the pencils and the shadows). All of the shadows seem to look so extraordinary and unique in their pans but are not nearly so special once swatched and, as I say, all are so easily duped.

The shadow is pretty, but that liner looks bad in the swatch. I wonder why it didn’t perform as well as the other liners? Kind of a disappointment. If it worked well it would be a lovely blue to have around.

I love the shadow! Here again , I’m wishing for these to be separetely sold or a palette would be even better. I feel she slightly overprices too.

I want to like these products but think I’ll stay away and look to CT’s palettes instead. Christine, have you experienced any irritation from the glitter in this line?

I have to agree with your comment in a previous thread, Christine. I think I would be more likely to buy if these were all sold separately, as it seems one or the other in each pair is just average! It’s a shame because the colors themselves are so pretty.

Oh my! The shadow is much prettier than I expected. I love a smoky blue eye but it takes practice and skill to blend it right, and this looks like it’s already been “pre-blended” for me. Too bad about the liner 🙁 I can see how sheer and dry it looks, and the color is way too similar to the shadow. Hmmm, I’m going to have to think about this. I want to wear for daytime at office – is the sparkle subtle, medium, or OTT?

It is a really pretty shade! I think she did a great job in making them more complex than they appear.,

It’s medium – not like chunky glitter, but it’s definitely not subtle!

The eyeshadow is magnife, but that eyeliner though…Good thing I already have UD Revolver e/s and Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in Suede Shoes ( although tbh, I never use it anymore).

So far, the eyeshadows of these CT sets are truly gorgeous and complex, I only wish those liners were sold separately, and the eyeshadows for perhaps $25 a shot!

These are really beautiful colours and I love them. Having said that, the quality isn’t spectacular, like one would expect from a HE brand such as CT. As I have both Dior’s Jardin and Guerlain’s Les Gris – I really have the dupes for this colour.
