Formula Overview
$34.00/0.04 oz. - $850.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be a "pigmented pop of colour" that is "diamond-inspired." They were, in fact, exactly that: sparkling, glittering, and high-shine eyeshadows with mostly opaque to fully opaque color coverage.
They had moderate glide, which helped them adhere to the lid without absolutely having to have a tacky base or be paired with an adhesive spray (like MAC Fix+), though the latter helped minimize fallout over time. The products applied evenly and blended out well without too much fallout. Without a tacky base, they lasted for eight hours with light to moderate fallout (depending on the shade).

Cosmic Rocks
Charlotte Tilbury Cosmic Rocks Hypnotising Pop Shot Eyeshadow ($34.00 for 0.04 oz.) has a darker, grayish base that was packed with an intense, duochrome shimmer that shifted from bluish-teal to purple. I might call it a weak multichrome if pressed, but it seemed to shift between two shades that simply offered more of a gradient between those two shades than having three distinctive shifts.
- Opaque pigmentation
- Smooth, lightly emollient texture
- More loosely-pressed, slightly fragile formula
- Applied evenly, blended out well, light fallout
- Long-wearing (8 hours with light fallout)

Wow, these look beautiful!
Big surprise – I really like Smokey Quartz and Emerald Eyes but I have dupes for both. I find that price for a single shadow just a bit too rich for my blood. They are $41 here in Canada (EACH!) which isn’t as bit a mark up over the US prices as I was expecting but it’s just more than I want to spend for a single eyeshadow.
I didn’t even look at the CAD pricing 😵
I like the taupe shade, but not sure I’m into laying out the cash for it.
These are so incredibly beautiful! If not for the crazy price I would buy Cosmic Rocks and Emerald Eyes!
These are truly perfect eyeshadows with full opacity and a silky smooth gleam to them. I’m looking at either Emerald Eyes or Cosmic Rocks to possibly pick up during the Sephora sale.
I was thinking the same thing, but unfortunately Sephora US doesn’t have these items listed in inventory :/
I saw that last night when I tried to find it on Sephora, Thalia. Major bummer, because I was definitely going to add it to my cart. 😕
I find that green unique.
I picked up Emerald Eyes & Cosmic Rocks. Both are absolutely gorgeous and wore great. I thought for sure Cosmic Rocks would be my favorite, but when I swatched them Emerald Eyes literally took my breath. I’m eyeing Smokey Quartz.
I got Cosmic Rocks also. While a beautiful one and done shade, my only issue was the fallout. It’s glitter and gets all over the face very quickly. It best suited for a 2-hour night-out wear. Otherwise, as I discovered, I look like a Cosmic Raccoon.
I didn’t experience that. Did you use a primer?
These are stunning offerings from CT – I’m quite drawn to the Emerald shade – which is quite a different emerald than most and the Smokey Quartz. Even though they are expensive, at least they are good quality products.
The taupe shade is pretty but I have Victoria Beckham Mink so I can skip.
I am wondering how close the taupe is to Dior’s Mono Coloeur, Beige Mitzah. It looks stunning!!
I absolutely adore Cosmic Rocks and Emerald Eyes!!
I didn’t want to like these because they’re singles. But I can’t deny these are very pretty. My single eye shadows (looking at you Chantecaille) don’t get enough love because I’m always reaching for an eye shadow palette. I may get one but they aren’t on the Sephora site yet. Would love to get 20% off.
Smokey Quartz and Emerald Eyes are stunning! The price is painful but maybe I’ll gift myself for Christmas.
