Charlotte Tilbury Desert Haze Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Desert Haze
Charlotte Tilbury Desert Haze Eyeshadow Quad ($53.00 for 0.18 oz.) is an all-matte quad that features warmer-toned neutrals that still had some saturation but were more toned-down–not as vivid in a way. All four shades had rich pigmentation, while the textures were soft and blendable with light powderiness–mostly present in the pans–that made it easy to use.

Desert Haze (Prime)
Desert Haze (Prime) is a medium peach with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was somewhat powdery, though it didn’t seem prone to fallout but had a bit of sheerness to it when initially applied, so though it seemed quite pigmented, it had to be built back up in practice. There were signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Desert Haze (Enhance)
Desert Haze (Enhance) is a muted, medium0dark orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color payoff that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges without sheering out too quickly. The texture was soft, a little powdery in the pan, but velvety and more substantial, which I have found tends to perform better than the brand’s older matte formula. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Desert Haze (Define)
Desert Haze (Define) is a deep brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent pigmentation in a single layer with a smooth, velvety consistency that was more substantial, so it wasn’t prone to sheering out nor was it too powdery. The product picked up well with a brush but still blended out readily. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

As simple and “plain” as it may look, I like it a lot! This would be a true workhorse quad, especially if, say, I’m traveling or something. Easier than packing my Mod Ren palette, eh?
I think this is a really cohesive quad, which can easily be utilised when working with shimmers from other palettes. I can’t help but think that this is the wrong time of the year (for those in the Northern Hemisphere) to be releasing such an autumnal toned quad.
Anyway, it’s good value as the shades are evenly rated.
