Charlotte Tilbury Crystal Happikiss, Enchanting Kiss, Happipetal Happikiss Lipstick Balms Review & Swatches

Crystal Happikiss
Charlotte Tilbury Crystal Happikiss Hyaluronic Happikiss Colour Balm ($34.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a light-medium pink with moderate, warm undertones and a high-shine, glossy finish. It had sheer coverage–and this one shade was described as sheer, hurrah!–with a moderately dense, thicker consistency that had good adhesion to my lips. Despite looking incredibly wet-looking on, it didn’t slide around and hugged my lips comfortably. It wore well for three hours and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$34.00/0.08 oz. - $425.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be hydrating and help lips look smoother while having a "high-shine finish with medium coverage." It had a denser, thicker consistency with light tackiness that didn't feel heavy, but it was thicker than most lip product son the market. The shades tended to have mostly opaque to opaque color coverage rather than "medium coverage."
The finish was exceptionally shiny, and it did give the illusion of plumper lips. Whether the product looked smoothing depended on the shade as some were more flattering to wear than others. They lasted between three and five hours, were hydrating, and didn't feather/bleed on me despite being a creamier, more emollient consistency; they seemed to adhere better than a true lip balm, but they were still comfortable to wear. The formula had a subtle, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.
Worth noting, the packaging used thinner plastic and was much lighter-weight (to the point of feeling a little flimsy) compared to other Charlotte Tilbury lip products. It also has a clicking, twist-up mechanism that doesn't lalow for the product to be twist back into the tube, so take care when twisting product out for use. I'm guessing that the more balm-like formula needed that type of mechanism in order not to break at the base.

Enchanting Kiss
Charlotte Tilbury Enchanting Kiss Hyaluronic Happikiss Colour Balm ($34.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink-coral with moderate, warm undertones and a high-shine, glossy finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage, which was slightly more coverage than marketed, that applied somewhat evenly.
The texture was thicker and denser in the tube, so it didn’t glide on as comfortably as anticipated–more like a potted lip balm in that respect than a typical tube-style lip balm! It could have sat more flatteringly on my lips, too, though it seemed to look marginally better after two hours of wear. It stayed on nicely for four hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Happipetal
Charlotte Tilbury Happipetal Hyaluronic Happikiss Colour Balm ($34.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark orange-coral with strong, warm undertones and a high-shine, glossy cream finish. The texture was thicker, slightly denser, and this resulted in a heavier look that was easy to over-apply.
It didn’t have as much slip as I would have thought, but this helped it sit better on my lips and have better longevity. It had rich color coverage that adhered somewhat evenly to my lips and seemed to fill in a few of my lip lines but didn’t smooth them all out. It lasted well for four hours and felt hydrating while worn.

HappiPetal was the one I was actually referring to in the previous post. I totally got that one all wrong! It looks lovely worn. It gets a definite “maybe” and goes on my WL.
The texture of these is very interesting, they almost look melted when applied… I’m really enjoying sheer and tinted slams and stains presently but these are spendy like whoooooooa for a very small amount, so I doubt I will indulge.
They do look fabulous on though.
What a lovely finish! I’m all for juicy, shiny lips!
Happipetal looks like a beautiful coral shade to wear as a lip balm under a mask.
These are a total surprise for me. There are so many balms out there now and most hold little appeal anymore.
Fenty Slipshine and Rare Beauty’s With Gratitude are the two I’ve invested in. I didn’t give CTs a second look.
But wow, Crystal and Enchanting Kiss are gorgeous!
I just got Crystal HappiKiss, I thought the other colours looked too pigmented for a balm type product. The Tarte Maricuja Juicy Lip is an exact dupe for this very shiny thick balm. I can’t remember what they cost, but the are deffo cheaper. The have loads more colours, and all of them are sheer.
