Charlotte Tilbury Cover Star & Catwalking Matte Revolution Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Cover Star
Charlotte Tilbury Cover Star Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light, golden peach with warmer undertones and a satin finish. It had medium, somewhat buildable coverage, but the texture had more slide and slip, which resulted in the product not adhering evenly to my lips and getting pushed around.
This also seemed to cause more product to get into my deeper lip lines, which was noticeable in person from the beginning and only worsened over time. This shade stayed on for a mere two hours and was lightly moisturizing (wore it back-to-back to check that!).

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.12 oz. - $308.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "long-lasting color" that's "buildable" with "glowing pigments" that give the "illusion of wider, fuller lips." Some shades are buildable while others are fairly pigmented in one stroke. The consistency was more velvety, lightweight, and thin without being clingy or drying over time. I found that some shades were flattering on, as they didn't emphasize lip texture or get into my lip lines, while other shades gravitated into my lip lines. They wore between three and five hours and were typically non-drying. There was no discernible scent or taste.

Catwalking
Charlotte Tilbury Catwalking Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light brown with soft, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to full coverage with less than a second layer. The texture was smooth, more velvety without being too slippery, but it glided comfortably across my lips and didn’t feel clingy.
The issue I had with it was that the product seemed to separate along my deeper lip lines, which became more noticeable (in person) after two and a half hours of wear. It lasted for three hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

I always thought her lipsticks were at least consistent..
Cover Star looks and sounds dreadful. Patchy, concealer lips at her price point is just unacceptable.
However; I’m in LOVE with Catwalking! That shade would be the perfect “nude” without my needing a lip pencil to make it work!
Oh, and I doesn’t hurt that it also has the word “cat” thrown in, right? We know why!
If I wore Cover Star, everyone around me would ask if I was feeling ill….waaay too pale a shade. Both of them are not particularly good in formula either.
Has she changed anything in the formulation, I wonder. I have always loved her Matte Revolution formula, for me it has a good wear time and they look really nice on. (The K.I.S.S.I.N.G. formula is awful to use for me though, the wear time is very short, the application rarely even.)
Good that these colours aren’t ones I’d wear. Cover Star would wash me out, Catwalking would look better, but still not good on me.
I have both these lipsticks and they’re among my favorite nudes. I’m not experiencing these issues. My favorite is Cover Star, it’s so sexy and it complements my pigmented purple lips so well. I got compliments with that on!
Catwalking is a beauty too.
