The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering radiance” and “silky texture.” The texture is very soft, silky, but it is on the thinner side and gets to be somewhat dusty. I don’t think it looks dry or powdery on the skin (though I have relatively normal skin at the moment), so you may just want to take greater care when swirling a brush in the pan to avoid too much excess powder kicking up. The color blended well on the skin, and it had semi-sheer to mostly opaque coverage. On my warmer complexion, it ended up looking more coral as the yellow undertones in my skin tone came through, but it may look pinker on those with pinker undertones. The blush wore well for seven hours on me.

Idk, maybe it’s just me, but even though I really love this shade, $45 for a super common shade that has so many dupes amongst DS brands. Almost too many cheap dupes!
Also, for that price, I would want it to be either at least an A rating or a very innovative, complex or interesting shade at a B+.

I know. I get that and it’s one of my fave formulas! So, I wonder what’s one to do? Do people actually carry this HE ,fragile blush around along with a nice brush? I’m so afraid to break mine, I can’t seem to take things like this out of the house unless I can carry it like an infant!

There is something about this shade and its vibrancy that I really love. Looks gorgeous on you. Some of the recent JCs have been a lot subtler and don’t do anything for me. But this one is a beauty. Which TF is it closest to, do you suppose, Christine?
