Chanel Tisse Camelia (202) Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad Review, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Tisse Camelia (202) Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad
Chanel Tisse Camelia (202) Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad ($61.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a soft, pink and purple selection of shades. Overall, the quad had good color payoff, soft, smooth textures that were easy to apply to bare skin as well as blended well. All four shades wore well for over nine hours on me, with the darkest shade wearing slightly longer. To reiterate, these are significantly lighter (smaller) at 0.07 oz. for the entire quad, though visually they don’t seem particularly small. Baked formulations often weigh less than more traditional powder formulas do, but it’s hard to say if it contains as many uses as the regular quads.
Tisse Camelia #1 is described as a “grey lilac.” It’s a medium-dark, plummy brown with subtle warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had good pigmentation, and it applied very smoothly and easily. It wore well for nine and a half hours on me. Bobbi Brown Smokey Grey (LE, $21.00) is darker, cooler-toned. Urban Decay Mugshot (P, $18.00) is warmer, more frosted. Makeup Geek Twilight (P, $5.99) is lighter. Chanel Gri-Gri (101) (LE, $29.50) is lighter. theBalm Just This Once Jamie (P, $16.00) is warmer. Urban Decay Midnight Rodeo (P, $18.00) is more frosted. MAC Rare Find (LE, $21.00) is brighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Tisse Camelia #2 is described as a “rosy white.” It’s a light, slightly muted, white with a frosted finish and subtle cool undertones. In the pan, you can see the pink tinge, but applied, I couldn’t really detect them but cooler complexions might see more of a nuance. It had great color payoff, while the texture of the powder was finely-milled and silky but just a smidgen powdery. The color stayed on well for nine and a half hours before fading. It is a basic shade, so there are several very similar shades of white eyeshadows: See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Tisse Camelia #3 is described as a “lavender pink.” It’s a light, peachy-pink with a golden shimmer-sheen finish. It had good pigmentation, though not quite opaque, but the texture was very soft and smooth. This shade wore well for almost nine and a half hours on me. theBalm #14 (P, $6.50) is a smidgen lighter. theBalm #4 (P, $6.50) is less pink. MAC Sweet Allure (P, $15.00) is pinker, less shimmery. Dior Golden Flower #1 (LE) is warmer. Laura Mercier Primrose (P, $22.00) is darker. Too Faced Ringleader (LE, $16.00) is darker, warmer. Chanel Delicatesse #3 (LE) is pinker. theBalm Stubborn (P, $16.00) is less pink. MAC Pink Frontier (P, $21.00) is less shimmery. Le Metier de Beaute Nouvelle (LE, $30.00) is more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Tisse Camelia #4 is described as an “eggplant brown.” It’s a smoldering, purpled plum with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly finish. It had excellent color payoff that went on smoothly and evenly. This shade wore well for ten hours before it started to show very faint signs of creasing. Too Faced Rhinestone (P, $16.00) is lighter. Too Faced Sugar Plum (LE, $16.00) is warmer, lighter. LORAC Deep Purple (P) is similar. MAC Pinkluxe #5 (P) is darker. Illamasqua Queen of the Night (LE) is warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Pretty but I much prefer the one you showed yesterday. I’ll probably only be able to justify buying one of these quads (if that!) so I think it’s more likely to be the one from yesterday (I’ve already forgotten the name!)
Luckily, they’re permanent, so you can always change your mind 😉 Tisse Rivoli!
Loving the Marc Jacobs Plum(age) eyeliner on you, Christine!
Thanks, Carolyn!
Very pretty but too warm for me. I am glad that these are starting off on a good foot with the grading, though. They all swatched very beautifully at Nordstroms, so I’m glad that’s reflected here.
Out of curiosity, did they send you all of the new quads or just a few? I’ll be really excited to see what you think of Tisse Vintien – there’s a shade in there that, like Rivoli, seems to justify the price of the entire quad! 😉
I definitely have more to review! 🙂
It’s nice to see a high end brand putting out wonderful products that make the price tag seem worth it
it is!
Not as fond of this one. The shades do not read as rich as the previous one you reviewed. I think one of the things that impressed me most with this new formula is the quality of the shimmer finish. With mature skin, shimmer is one of those things that can both help or hinder. Too much shimmer can emphasize, a bit of shimmer can soften. While I think the shimmer level is equally attractive in this quad, I do not find the tones as rich and dramatic.
The way they did the shimmer in the new formula seems quite nice – it’s fine enough that it doesn’t accentuate, but it doesn’t turn into a matte (as many satin finishes often look once applied).
Hi Christine, I like this one even better than the one you had on yesterday. It looks very pretty and warm and the color eyeliner your wearing with it just the right pop. Love the look on you.
Thank you, Maria!
Pretty! These are the perfect ‘my sister’ colours. She always rocks the soft pinks and plum/purples!
Woohoo!! I wonder if Tisse Cambon would be up her alley.
I dont seem to be able of sending you a orivate message, so I tell you here.. Does the website womenideass.com has your authorization to use your articles? I was going through swatches of moody bloom and revognized your picture, and then the whole article. Just letting you know. If they dont habe your permission you should approach them about.
Thank you for the heads up, Andrea! We will try to get them to stop!
This seems like it’s a pretty good neutral palette. I think I’d still prefer the Naked 3 but this one is really beautiful.
Naked3 is a very nice palette, so that’s no surprise!
Love the purple liner to add an unexpected pop to your pretty neutral look. I love the shades, particularly rose gold, but they seem to apply more subtly than I might have expected.
Thanks, Allison!
I own this one and Rivoli.
Camelia was the first one I bought as the SA insisted I am cool toned and this was for me. I usually go for warm toned.
Anyway lovely texture and colours so easy to wear.
Happy to hear you’re enjoying both quads you bought, Donna!
Looks beautiful!
Glad you liked it, Valerie!
Nice colours for fall, but even though the look you made is gorgeous, Christine, I’m not tempted by this. I think my mind really is set on summer. I want corals and pink 😀
I can almost see my wallet getting healthier by the day.
Yay for your wallet 😉
Ooh, looks nice!
It’s very easy to wear!
The pinky shade is so pretty! I need to check out the dupes asap lol. I really like that eyeliner too!
Hope one of the dupes works out for ya!
