Chanel Terre d'Etoiles & Bois de Rose Astral Rouge Allure Velvet La Cometes Reviews & Swatches
Terre d'Etoiles (108)
Chanel Terre d’Etoiles (108) Rouge Allure Velvet La Comete ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy brown with subtle warmth and a satin sheen with barely-there gold micro-sparkle strewn throughout. It had rich color coverage paired with a lightweight, lightly velvety texture that glided comfortably across my lips but wasn’t overly slippery. It was forgiving of lip texture, though it could have been more smoothing of lip lines. It wore well for five hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Bois de Rose Astral (118)
Chanel Bois de Rose Astral (118) Rouge Allure Velvet La Comete ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium plum with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish with barely-there gold micro-sparkle. It had opaque pigmentation with a smooth, velvety texture that was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and comfortable to apply in a fluid stroke. This shade lasted well for four and a half hours and felt hydrating over time.

Love both shades, but I see that I actually have two dupes for Bois de Rose, yet none for Terre d’Etoiles. And I’m totally feeling that very 90’s brown lip!
I think these are both stunning but not in my color range. My daughter loves a good 90’s brown lip so maybe for her. We are still wearing masks daily and her in particular since she is working in a dental office. She hasn’t been wearing any lipstick because it isn’t really worth it. Both she and I love lipsticks though so we would like the pandemic to be over or at least better controlled. Maybe next year, LOL!
I would sooner die than not wear lipstick, but my lips are so pale I look dead without it. I stick with mattes, and it doesn’t rub off on the paper surgical masks.
Terre d’Etoiles is my favourite, but a very inexpensive and quite similar dupe is Maybelline’s Mauve for Me.
These are lovely. I wish they both were a touch cooler and the shimmer more evident to give them depth but they are pretty. Too bad they’re LE
I know’ I love those sparkles and wish more companies would use them.
