Chanel Rose Petillant Joues Contraste Blush Review & Swatches
Rose Petillant (330)
Chanel Rose Petillant (330) Joues Contraste Blush ($45.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a light-medium pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had buildable coverage–as marketed–from medium to mostly opaque (two to three layers) that applied evenly to bare skin and diffused to a seamless finish with barely any blending (but didn’t sheer out too readily). The texture was silky, smooth, and soft without being too powdery. This shade stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview
$45.00/0.17 oz. - $264.71 Per Ounce
The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering radiance” and “silky texture.” The pigmentation ranges from semi-sheer to fully opaque, depending on technique and skin tone, but it seemed exactly as described–buildable–without having to pile it on or spend too long sheering it out. The formula has an extremely smooth, silky consistency that blends out beautifully on the skin. Most shades wear around eight hours on me.
The formula is rose-scented but the scent was largely undetectable applied (but noticeable in the compact).

Such a gloriously refined glow! This blush is gorgeous! I do have MAC Spring Flock, yet I’m still so tempted to get this one as well… someone please talk me out of it?
Add a lil’ highlighter over Spring Flock! Close enough 🙂
A lovely shade and it looks so beautiful on you Christine.
Wow this blush is gorgeous! Do I need another blush? No. Will I buy this anyway? Someone please talk me out of it haha.
So pretty! Believe it or not, I don’t own a single Chanel blush (I’m so happy with my Dior, MAC and Becca faves that I’ve never felt the need) but this one sure is tempting.
This is beautiful! I have to restrain myself; I don’t need anymore blush. Wondering if it has a floral rose scent like the other Chanel blush I own (Pink Explosion).
I was in the market for a new springtime blush. When I started seeing reviews of the latest Le Blanc collection, I new this one was exactly what I was looking for. It’s such a gorgeous color with a soft satin finish and it blends out evenly so there are no clown cheeks or stripes. Because I’m in my mid-seventies and am quite fair, I prefer products that are buildable rather than ones that have pigment overload. Applied with my Wayne Goss #14, Rose Petillant brings a bloom to my cheeks without looking overdone. Because it is buildable, you ladies who want or need stronger color can easily get it with this blush. I like to wear this blush with a little bit of the new Rosey Light Drops applied to the highest point on my cheekbones. I’m too old to be a unicorn (lol) so the subtle pearlescent glow is perfect for me. All considered, this year’s Le Blanc collection is simply gorgeous.
Really beautiful shade and finish. I have Spring Flock and NYX Summer Peach, so I think I’ll follow your advice of just putting highlighter on top.
