Chanel Poesie & Evocation Rouge Allure Inks Reviews & Swatches
Poesie (232)
Chanel Poesie (232) Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour ($42.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a light-medium peach with warmer undertones and a satin sheen that took about a half hour to wear down to more of a matte finish. It appeared significantly lighter in practice than it did just swatched on my arm, which was a surprise.
The texture was lightweight, thin, and more water-like initially, but it did set slightly so it didn’t move around as it finished drying down over time. The liquid lipstick had semi-opaque color payoff in one layer, which lasted well for five hours and felt neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$45.00/0.2 oz. - $225.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "ultra-intense, ultra-matte, longwearing lip colour" that "fuses" for "lightweight" and "comfortable coverage." The coverage was more semi-opaque than "ultra-intense," but the finish was flat, matte after the product dried down. A second layer could be applied for more pigmentation (once the initial layer set).
The initial texture was thin, more watery and fluid than I expected, and it almost seemed more like a blotted effect after it dried down. The product had marginally more stretch and flexibility to it after dry down, so it was more comfortable to wear and felt very lightweight on. I would recommend exfoliating prior to applying this formula to ensure a smoother application.
They lasted between five and six hours and felt non-drying for the most part. There was a very subtle, floral scent but no discernible taste.

Poesie (232)
LELimited Edition. $45.00.
Evocation (234)
Chanel Evocation (234) Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour ($42.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a darker, coppery-red with subtle warmth with a satin finish. It took about a half hour to have more of a semi-set finish that was more mattified.
The texture was very thin, almost watery, but delivered mostly opaque coverage in one layer and wasn’t prone to emphasizing lip texture but could have dried down faster so it didn’t settle into my deeper lip lines as readily (I had to smooth it out as it was setting). This shade wore well for five and a half hours and felt non-drying.

Ooh, these look very pretty. I don’t know if they really go with my skin tone, but I like them 🙂
Both are gorgeous shades for the spring/summer. Evocation would be my pick!
I really love Evocation, but do have Bite Hot Harissa and MAC Chili. Because of that, I will restrain myself from buying this.
Poesie! Lovely.
