Chanel Les Naturels de Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches

Naive

Along with Glossimers, Chanel released two shades of Rouge Allure Lipstick ($30.00 each) with their Les Naturels de Chanel collection. As you can guess, the collection was designed to be wearable and natural, and Chanel delivered well on both.

Rouge Allure Lipsticks

  • Naive is a soft, sheer layering of subdued pink with a little mauve in it. It goes on very my-lips-but-better. It is slightly creamy, though not opaque nor overly so. It has just the lightest dusting of golden shimmer that’s extremely subtle (more so than Glossimers). Looking back at the swatches now, it’s reminiscent of Urban Decay’s Naked lipstick, just not as shimmery.
  • Curious is a soft, sheer brown-based nude with subtle golden shimmer that’s just as slight as Naive. Both of these have finishes that look more like a soft sheen than glossy, shimmery, or frosty.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I just bought Naive and am in love! Perfect MLBB, although it shows up a little bit cooler on my lips than yours Christine 🙂

Oh no. Now I can’t decide. Naked or Naive. Perhaps you could compare side by side on hand, paper or lips without gloss for us? In the pics, Naive looks pinker in the tube but browner on your hand, and Naked looks browner in the tube, but pinker on your hand.

Thanks, good to know before I take the plunge! What primer do you prefer? Prep and prime just doesn’t work for me. I wonder if the Lip Erase in the upcoming collection will be a winner? Any experience with that one?

I actually just use foundation if I’m going for neutralizing my lips, to be honest. Whatever I put on my face… I just brush a little onto my lips. Really easy and fast! I have Lip Erase, but I don’t love it. It feels pretty drying, and it’s a little hard to maneuver it on your lips. Ultimately, I opt for the foundation trick or line with a similar shade of lip liner!
