We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Au Fil de L’Eau looks very interesting, but it’s nothing I really need, especially not for Chanel prices. All of the lip colors are pretty, but again, I’m sure I have similar shades already. Pretty packaging, as usual. I much prefer the Chanel bullet lipsticks with the caps to their pushbutton design.

I purchased the Rosy Light Drops when they launched as part of a capsule Le Blanc collection in January in Canada. It looks opal against my light skintone and is very pigmented – a little goes a long way! I use it as a highlighter and also mix a tiny amount into my foundation. It’s lovely.

I plan to buy the Au Fils Des Fleurs pink eyeshadow quad and the blush, which I noticed was previously released as a limited edition.

I love the packaging and embossing, but the pigment on the shadows looks rather disappointing, but maybe they were going for a softer eye look for spring

Hmm, the shades in that lip palette are looking mighty similar. Is it just my screen? Palpitante stands out. This basically seems like a collect but don’t mess the pretty flowers item. Still, I am really liking both Ondee and Fleur de Lotus for that neutral peach where with everything that is so lovely in Spring. And it is a real Spring collection with more spring colors, which is nice.

Pass on the eyeshadows, nothing that original. But I’m intrigued by the lip palette. The colors look beautiful on you, Christine. I can’t wait to hear how long they last. Definitely something I may splurge on.

IMHO prestige makeup prices have gone off the deep end. If I decide to work with this color concept, I will print out your wonderful swatches, bring them to Ulta, and duplicate the palette with more affordable brands.

That sound you’re all hearing is a deep sigh of relief from me. Given the difficulty (nay, near impossibility) of procuring Chanel stuff now that the counter in my area closed down, it’s always painful to see something that is painfully beautiful and painfully out of my reach (y’all get the “pain” element, right?). I like the look of Miroir d’eau but given the highlighters I own (rms Beauty’s comes most to mind), I’m sure I can dupe it. Nothing else in this collection is causing me to feel pain at all, which is a good thing.

Hi Annette, I hear the Spring collection is coming to (US) dept stores in the third week of March. I don’t know if that includes the Rosy Light Drops.

I have to admit, I am drawn to the collection. I will try and restrain myself until reviews are up but it is going to be hard. I have a fair amount of Chanel makeup and in general it works well for me. The less pigmented eye shadows allow me to build them to the intensity that I like and not have to spend 30 minutes blending each one out. At 66 that is a bonus for me. I have backed off some of the more intense shadows for everyday. I love the look of the lipstick compact and I may have to order it. I would normally think that a lipstick palette wouldn’t get much use but frankly I carry 10-15 lipsticks in my purse most of the time because I am terrible about taking them out until I run out of space so throwing in a palette wouldn’t take up more room. A lot of the time with lipsticks like these I tap them on my lips anyway so that isn’t an issue. The big problem is messing up the rose impression and determining if there is enough difference in the shades to warrant it. I am going to be good and wait for reviews, though.
