Chanel Intense Healthy Glow Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Intense
Chanel Intense Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette ($65.00 for 0.16 oz.) includes four more shimmery shades and one more satiny shade. The darkest–the third–shade was the least user-friendly as it was more prone to sheering out and fading. The other four eyeshadows were pigmented, easy to apply, and longer-wearing.

Intense #1
Intense #1 is a light gold with warmer, peachy undertones and a sparkling sheen. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable with a touch of powderiness in the pan, but the eyeshadow had opaque coverage that “melted” onto my skin for a seamless look that didn’t result in fallout over time. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Intense #2
Intense #2 is a light-medium bronze with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had rich color payoff in a single layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out with ease. The texture was soft, smooth, and moderately firmly-pressed, so it wasn’t powdery, but I had no trouble picking it up with a dry brush. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Intense #3
Intense #3 is a deep, olive green with muted, warm undertones and barely-there bronze shimmer through a more matte base. The texture was somewhat powdery and more prone to sheering out, so while it had semi-opaque coverage initially, it was hard to build it up without a primer, though it was blendable. This shade showed signs of fading after seven and a half hours of wear.

Intense #4
PiPPermanent in Palette.
Intense #5
Intense #5 is a light copper with moderate, warm undertones and a pearly finish. The texture was incredibly smooth, not dense or too firmly-pressed into the pan–in fact, a thinner formula but it never felt thin in a bad way–that adhered evenly to bare skin and yielded full color payoff. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Not bad, but leaves me feeling uninspired and ‘meh’. Especially with the deepest shade not being up to intense pigmentation.
What a classic, perfectly beautiful palette! Wow, I’m going to have to seriously consider this one! I think these shades would flatter any skintone, any eye color! I’m in love!
I love the colour story of this gem – but shades 2 & 4 are similar to each other and I do wish that the olive green shade was a soft shimmer and a tad lighter. I will have to think about this because I am keen….
Thank you for reviewing this so quickly Christine.
It’s a funny thing about Chanel palettes. Sometimes they don’t look like much but then you put them on the eyes and they give a gorgeous effortless look. The LE 9-pan les beiges palette is that for me. Looked like a natural look in the pans – haven’t we all got a million of those – until I put it on my eyelids. It is an absolute stunner, breathtaking in how easily it applies and how gorgeous it looks. Out of everything I own, if I could only grab one palette and never see the others again, it would be that one (and the backup I was lucky enough to get after it had sold out).
Alas, this release is just a bit too warm for me, though I love the colors. But for someone out there, it’s a perfect palette – easy, gorgeous looks.
Valerie, I love the shades you are wearing in the profile pic!!
I agree with you about the magic of the 9 pan Le Beiges, and so many other Chanel palettes as well. I ended up purchasing Intense and am looking forward to see it in person. It is perfect for my colouring.
I was sure I posted a comment yesterday – must have forgot to hit “post comment”!
Anyway, this is appealing but the reason it’s appealing is that these are the shades I already have in abundance so as nice and classic as it is, it’s an easy “skip” for me and considerable loonies saved for something else….
Not a fan of low contrast palettes like this. 4 out of 5 colors look almost the same with minor differences in tone and depth. It’s only good for those people who would only use one or two colors on the eyes and even then the look will be the almost same regardless what shadow combination you’ll wear.
If it wasn’t for the dark olive shade this would be a winner. I have enough warm toned palettes to last for the rest of my life, if not this is one I would have given a serious thought.
I’ve been eyeing this palette and appreciate your swatches and review Christine. The Chanel quads/palettes have really stepped up their quality in recent years. I also really like Luca’s use of color in her quads instead of blah blah boring neutrals. I love the dark olive in this Les Beiges summer palette. All the colors go well together. I’m also loving the Summer 2021 Doucier quad as I love those violet hues! I don’t care for the black shade in that quad however.
“Intense” is a go for me.
