Chanel Insaisissable & Badine Rouge Allure Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Insaisissable (152) Rouge Allure Lipstick
Chanel Insaisissable (152) Rouge Allure Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “vivid coral.” It’s a brightened, medium coral with warm, orange undertones and a soft sheen. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied evenly, but I thought the texture was a little thin and not quite stiff, but not creamy either. It was lightly drying over the five hours it lasted on me, unfortunately. Tom Ford Beauty Adriano (LE, $32.00) is slightly darker. Guerlain Rouge Kiss (325) (P, $37.00) is similar. Guerlain Geneva (48) (P, $51.00) is glossier, slightly pinker. Dior Sunset (660) (LE, $34.00) is more shimmery, lighter. Bite Beauty Blood Orange (LE, $24.00) is more orange. Givenchy Rose Dentelle (203) (P, $36.00) is pinker. Chanel Pygmalion (LE, $35.00) is less pigmented. MAC Toxic Tale (LE, $16.00) is brighter. Guerlain Rouge Sensuel (LE, $51.00) is glossier, darker. Chanel Badine (154) Rouge Allure Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “light pink.” It’s a light-medium, slightly muted pink with subtle, warm undertones and a light shine. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that went on fairly evenly. The texture was more emollient than Insaisissable, but I felt like this one bunched up in places as I applied–almost as if it was catching on flakes I didn’t know I had (but I don’t really see what I felt in the close-up image). This shade lasted for four hours on me and was neither drying nor hydrating. Tom Ford Beauty Pink Tease (03) (P, $50.00) is brighter, more matte. Bobbi Brown Pink Kiss (P, $26.00) is similar. Guerlain Rosy Boop (369) (P, $37.00) is a smidgen darker. Estee Lauder Impulsive (P, $30.00) is lighter. YSL Corail Jalouse (32) (P, $34.00) is glossier. Urban Decay Native (P, $22.00) is lighter. NYX Blush (P, $4.00) is less glossy. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

These are such typical Spring shades! Love Insaisissable on you so much! 🙂
Aw, thank you Divya!
Disappointing. I ended up going for Guerlain. This collection isn’t going to be the most flattering on me.
Thanks for putting this up on Christmas! And happy holidays!
No problem, Megan! Happy holidays!
These colors are pretty for spring!
They are very spring-like!
I like Badine. Suuuuuuuper pretty.
Happy to hear it!
Insaissable is a beautiful color. The formula doesn’t sound like it’s worth the money though. I’d rather try one of the dupes.
I wasn’t a fan of the formula on these!
Do you know if Badine is similar to Chanel Darling Rouge Allure? Your current swatch of Darling is in a bit different lighting. Thanks Christine and Merry Christmas!
Darling is a lot warmer!
Oh, no, I’m SO sad due to bad performance of BADINE. What a lovely everyday shade!!!
Either way, thanks for your hard job and dedication in this festive season, dear!
My highest admiration,
Lauren.
Thank you so much!
Badine looks kinda similar to Light English Red from Prabal Gurung… I’m much more comfortable paying the price for Chanel than bumped up cheap MAC plastic packaging 😛
Very true!
I love Badine! I have a hard time finding a “my lips but better” color, 🙁 but Badine looks very close to what I want. Everything I try looks very strange on me, which is why I end up wearing bright lipsticks instead. Would you happen to know a nude that leans towards pink but not AS pink as Badine? My skin tone is actually very close to yours. Thanks for your super informative reviews! Read them every day 🙂
Maybe Guerlain Rosy Boop?
I like how light and fresh they look but I’m not sure either would work for me.
Both are nice in the pictures, but I think Badine is a touch too pale for my liking. Insaisissable, aside from being a name you have to read at least three times to make sure you got it all (LOL!), is such a wonderful, summery colour!
I have Badine. And I would give it a D. Seriously! For me it’s not just that it catches flakes but as you say it bunches up even in areas where you don’t have flakes. I also find it somewhat drying over time. I ADORE the color, but the formula is dumbfounding to me. I love the color of Insaisissable but I’m afraid to get it because of the problems I’ve had with the Badine formula. Such a disappointment!
Loved Insaisissable.. it is such stunning coral shade !! Badie is pretty too but might not work on my NC40 skintone .
