Blanc Graphique (949)

Chanel Blanc Graphique (949) Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($33.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a pale beige with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It almost looked like a creamy, grayish beige to me at times, but the yellowness in the pencil itself made it seem warmer overall. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy without being too emollient, so while it glided on comfortably (even on the water line), it didn’t seem to slide around easily. It had opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which went on evenly. The color stayed on nicely for nine hours on my lower lash line.

Formula Overview

$34.00/0.01 oz. - $3400.00 Per Ounce

The Stylo Yeux formula is supposed to be a “waterproof, smudge-proof” eyeliner with a “gentle, soft” texture. I gave up on this formula bit ago, as the majority of shades I had tried had a really firm, stiff, and painful-to-use texture, but new releases have much improved!

They are much, much creamier without being too wet, so they didn’t transfer or migrate easily. The formula was easy (and not painful!) to use even on my waterline. The eyeliners lasted nine hours or more on me.

Very different than the dupes. I really ought to go back to Chanel. When I lost my job in 10, I quit the French brands. Don’t need it, but might check this one out. The Chanel liners have been lovely and generally reliable the past two years.

Mariella, I’m a fan of a flesh toned liner myself. I like a lot the one I purchased from Shoppers Drug Mart: Essence Extreme lasting eye pencil in 06 Silky Nude. Very soft and gently upon application, and the color holds very well on my lower waterline. It also looks so natural.

Thanks, Nicole. The MAC one hasn’t been around for quite a while, I think. I have really liked the Essence products I’ve tried and their prices are hard to beat so I’ll be on the lookout for that pencil. I just got back from Shoppers and was amazed to see that the one at the Mall now carries TheBalm. It used to be available at a Rexall/PharmaPlus near my school but they phased out the entire line so I was glad to see I still have access to at least a few of their products that I like.

The Essence eyeliner is $4CAD before taxes. It is so smooth and it doesn’t smudge once applied on my lower waterline. I was reluctant to buy it at first, as I love my Sephora, MJ and Givenchy ones, but it performs as well as the HE ones. I don’t have it in the other shades, but this particular one is a great deal.
