Chanel Blanc Graphique (949) Stylo Yeux Eyeliner Review & Swatches
Blanc Graphique (949)
Chanel Blanc Graphique (949) Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($33.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a pale beige with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It almost looked like a creamy, grayish beige to me at times, but the yellowness in the pencil itself made it seem warmer overall. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy without being too emollient, so while it glided on comfortably (even on the water line), it didn’t seem to slide around easily. It had opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which went on evenly. The color stayed on nicely for nine hours on my lower lash line.

The Stylo Yeux formula is supposed to be a “waterproof, smudge-proof” eyeliner with a “gentle, soft” texture. I gave up on this formula bit ago, as the majority of shades I had tried had a really firm, stiff, and painful-to-use texture, but new releases have much improved!
They are much, much creamier without being too wet, so they didn’t transfer or migrate easily. The formula was easy (and not painful!) to use even on my waterline. The eyeliners lasted nine hours or more on me.

A refreshing change to see a white pencil that isn’t actually “white”. This could be a beauty on ones lower waterline instead of those more harsh true white shades, I think.
Agree!
I thought the same thing. I wonder how long it would last on the waterline.
Agree 🙂
Very different than the dupes. I really ought to go back to Chanel. When I lost my job in 10, I quit the French brands. Don’t need it, but might check this one out. The Chanel liners have been lovely and generally reliable the past two years.
Oh, definitely – you think, “oh, it’s white,” and then it’s like, “nope, it’s not even!” once you see white eyeliners again.
I’ve never been too keen for the look of white liner on me (lower waterline) – I look less alarming but wide awake with a flesh toned liner like the MAC Chromographic (I think that’s what it was called) pencil.
Mariella, I’m a fan of a flesh toned liner myself. I like a lot the one I purchased from Shoppers Drug Mart: Essence Extreme lasting eye pencil in 06 Silky Nude. Very soft and gently upon application, and the color holds very well on my lower waterline. It also looks so natural.
Thanks, Nicole. The MAC one hasn’t been around for quite a while, I think. I have really liked the Essence products I’ve tried and their prices are hard to beat so I’ll be on the lookout for that pencil. I just got back from Shoppers and was amazed to see that the one at the Mall now carries TheBalm. It used to be available at a Rexall/PharmaPlus near my school but they phased out the entire line so I was glad to see I still have access to at least a few of their products that I like.
The Essence eyeliner is $4CAD before taxes. It is so smooth and it doesn’t smudge once applied on my lower waterline. I was reluctant to buy it at first, as I love my Sephora, MJ and Givenchy ones, but it performs as well as the HE ones. I don’t have it in the other shades, but this particular one is a great deal.
You can tell it’s a quality formula because of the vanilla bean specks. 😉 <3
I’ll never be able to look at that picture again without thinking of vanilla bean ice cream. Yum!
This totally made me laugh. You win the comments lol.
LOL! I thought they were glitter at first.
What are they?
Lol dani, you picked up on the thought that never really had a chance to form in my tired mind! ???
This is a lovely fresh shade that is an alternative to a ‘flat’ white. Very pretty.
Christine what do you think those dark speckles in the white crayon are for? They don’t seem to change the color?
I have no idea!
The off-white shade reminds me of a long-discontinued Revlon pencil I have. The shade is Pure White but it’s actually a creamy ivory with a subtle, but distinct, yellow tinge to it. Doesn’t have the weird mottled appearance, though, ha ha.
Always game for a Stylo, and this one is really good choice for waterline. I do not care for stark white, and anything with a heavy yellow/beige cast. This seems to be a perfect balance.
this is gonna sound weird but the stick itself looks tasty! like cream filling in a pastry or something~
