Do you find face primer necessary? Why/why not? When do you use it?

I don't find it necessary for a few hours of wear, but if I know I need my makeup to look flawless for 8+ hours, then I do find primer useful.

In a way, every brand beyond MAC I was skeptical of initially. I really just fell in love with MAC and makeup, and anything outside of that world was a little, "Hmm..." I think I could be a little more concrete...

I'm currently using Chanel's Ultra Lifting Day Cream, and I do like it a good bit -- very luxurious, fast absorbing, and feels amazing on skin without being heavy.

DiorShow, since that flaked on me and wasn't THAT impressive on my lashes... UDPP, since it creases on me. MAC MSFs - all too often they just seem to emphasize imperfections on my face than hide 'em.
