LORAC Mega Pro Palette
LORAC Mega Pro Palette ($59.00 for 0.62 oz.) includes 32 eyeshadows–16 matte, 16 shimmer from white to black to plum to teal. It is a limited edition palette. My order just arrived this afternoon, so I’ll start testing it, but there weren’t too many obvious “that’s going to be a problem” eyeshadows and most felt like the eyeshadows from the previous Pro palettes–soft, silky (but sometimes powdery) mattes, more consistent shimmery shades (less likely to be powdery). It launches tomorrow, exclusively at Amazon and LORAC, so I figured that swatches might be helpful as it’ll take awhile to test 32 shades!
And perhaps, if you’re trying to figure out whether you already have dupes or not, you might try browsing the swatches in the Swatch Gallery, as I have added them there 🙂
Now up on Amazon!! 🙂
Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O’ Blushes
Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O’ Blushes ($36.00 for 1.08 oz.) includes six powder blushes and a cream highlighter–all shades from Benefit’s permanent line-up in a metal tin. A few of these I haven’t tested in a long time, so now seems like a good time to re-test and re-review (to update swatches, photos, dupes, and all that jazz!). I had actually re-photographed my permanent Box O’ Powders a few months ago but haven’t had time to test all of them yet, so this palette is quite timely! I bought mine at Sephora, but it is also available at ULTA last I saw.
It seemed like a lot of readers were interested in this, and in general, I think the texture is consistent with the full-sized versions, but I found the color of Bella Bamba and CORALista to be different in the palette compared to my standalone versions, with CORALista being very different and Bella Bamba more “within variation” that you might expect over the years and the like (though they’re still noticeable different to me). Aside from the inconsistencies in color on those two shades, all six powder blushes seem promising. Here’s a quick preview of the palette with a full review to come…

MAC The Ultimate Lipstick
MAC Ultimate Lipstick ($23.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a new and permanent formula with a shade range of ten (in the U.S., three additional shades available in Asia). These were supposed to launch online on the 24th, but I haven’t seen them pop up yet. The in-store release date is October 2nd for North America locations. I’m working through some of the other limited edition lip products from the other recent MAC releases, but I will have reviews for these up as well (hopefully shortly after I wrap up the others) — for now, enjoy this sneak peek look at swatches.
Update 10/13/2014: MAC has moved the online launch date to 10/29 and in-store date to 12/1.
