Bobbi Brown Bobbi to Glow Highlighting Powder Trio Review, Photos, Swatches
Bobbi to Glow
Bobbi Brown Bobbi to Glow Highlighting Powder Trio ($69.00 for 0.63 oz.) is a new, limited edition set for the holidays that contains three, nearly full-sized highlighting powders. The brand described them as a trio of “bestselling” shades, but they did not line up that closely with past releases with similar names, so they seemed new-to-me. I enjoy this formula as it has a smooth and blendable consistency without any powderiness that is easy to apply to the skin and yields a gorgeous, glowing finish. All three shades were consistent with past shades I’ve tried in the formula, and I think if one likes warmer-toned highlighters, it’s certainly worth considering.
Value
A full-sized Highlighting Powder retails for $48.00 and contains 0.23 oz. or costs $208.70/oz. This palette contains $131.48 worth of product.

Nectar Glow
Nectar Glow is a soft, peachy gold with warm, orange undertones and a golden sheen. It had good color coverage in a single layer, which was easy to sheer out and diffuse for sheerer coverage or applied moderately for a stronger, metallic finish. There was subtle color added to my skin tone, though anyone deeper would likely only get a sheen out of it. The consistency was soft without being powdery, smooth, and blendable on my skin. It wore well for eight hours on me.

Formula Overview
$48.00/0.28 oz. - $171.43 Per Ounce
The formula is designed to give “high-impact, buildable radiance.” Most shades had medium or more intense pigmentation with moderate to intense shimmer, as some shades were more metallic and/or had fine sparkles. However, the powder buffs and diffuses particularly well and has a tendency to "melt" a bit more on the skin as a result. The texture was soft, smooth, and not too dense nor so soft that it became powdery in the pan. This formula typically lasted eight hours or so on my skin.

Pink Gold Glow
Pink Gold Glow is a light-medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff in a single layer, but it was buildable in color and luminosity. The powder felt smooth to the touch and seemed to have slightly larger shimmer compared to the other two shades, though it did not accentuate my skin’s texture, even when more heavily applied. The color stayed on well for eight hours before fading on me. This shade did seem quite similar to Sunset Glow.

Golden Bronze Glow
Golden Bronze Glow is a medium, coppery brown with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had good pigmentation with a smooth, blendable texture that wasn’t too soft or too firm in the pan. The highlighter had a strong sheen but did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. This shade lasted for eight and a half hours on me.

Great value on this one. It’d be nice if Hourglass could take a leaf out of Bobbi Brown’s book in terms of value at the holidays.
Haha, if only!
I don’t think I’ll be buying it but I thought the same thing! PLS HOURGLASS!
I think it’s so strange that BB calls this a trio of “Bestselling Shades” when these particular shades don’t seem to exist outside of the set, lol! They certainly look very pretty! At first I thought it contained the 3 “Sunset Pink” collection shades (Afternoon Glow, Telluride, Sunset Glow)- which I think would have been a fantastic idea for a palette.
Me too, Julia!
So, so beautiful and much better than the Hourglass one in terms of value.
This is really pretty. But I’ve never tried their highlighters before and to shell out $70+tax for 3 is kind of steep. It’s a lot of product, but idk, I know I own 2 of the dupes (which together cost about $12), so I really should skip it. But it’s so pretty. But I will do the responsible thing and skip and instead grab the new ABH glow kit.
It’s on for 50% off in Sephora’s Weekly Wow this week (starting Thursday) – FYI
Very flattering on you. And they go great with your pink shadow. Stunning eye look, btw.
So pretty and not at all overboard with the glitter.
Now, THIS for me is really worth of consideration from all the holiday releases. It looks gorgeous!
These are really pretty. I think I remember them coming out with a similar palette last year but I might be confusing it with Laura Mercier. Love the packaging and have nothing like it in my collection
Great value and it’s so pretty!
I really love this formula, without any noticeable glitter. I just wish it was cheaper! I will probably wait for the VIB sale. And last years palette eventually went on sale for like $50, but you never know with this one, it could sell out. I actually love how these can double as blush and highlighter in one, or even swipe around the forehead for a bronzing effect. Swipe a different color on the lids and can run out the door. Really beautiful! I want!
Going on 50% off sale in Sephora’s Weekly Wow this week Liz!
Thank you for the heads up, Linda! This beautiful palette will be mine! <3 =D
The swatches look glittery to me, but they don’t look glittery or sparkly on your skin. What do you find regarding the sparkle or glitter? I prefer shine, and I don’t want flecks of anything on my face. I’m getting a little long in the tooth to be a disco ball.
I wouldn’t describe the formula as glittery!
