Bite Beauty San Francisco & Miami Amuse Bouche Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
San Francisco
Bite Beauty San Francisco Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a bright, neon coral-red with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that adhered well to my lips with a smooth, even lay down of color. The texture was lightly creamy, dense without being heavy, and comfortable to apply and to wear. It wore nicely for five and a half hours, left a faint stain behind, and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable.
The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamy with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They have a herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.

Miami
Bite Beauty Miami Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is an intense, vivid fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in one layer, while the color applied fairly evenly, it seemed to separate a bit along my lip lines (particularly on my upper lip) and had slight streaking along the edges of my lips. The consistency was creamy and smooth in the tube, and it was comfortable to apply, but it seemed a little thinner and, ultimately, didn’t sit as nicely on my lips as other shades (including ones I swatched before this one!). The color stayed on well for over six hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly moisturizing over time.

I just die for these neon pinks, but I don’t live a lifestyle where I could wear them all the time. It’s only my *wish I could live a lifestyle where I wore them regularly.
Hi Cjay – I’m so curious now about what’s the lifestyle that suits neon pink – care to say any more about how you picture it? 🙂
Oh lawdy, now I have an earworm going on. Will Smith’s “Miami”. Haaallllp!!!
Anywho, San Francisco is a STUNNER! Never been there, but who cares? I would still rock this wildly electric coral-orange-red, whatever it is!
Okay, so now I’m hearing “I Left My Heart In San Francisco”….oh boy. This is gonna be a day!
I used to live very close to San Francisco 15 minutes from the Golden Gate and went to school there 4 times a week, that warm orange color is more So Cal like L.A. and Palm Trees
San Francisco has light that is much cooler , like think fog, hows it cools the light , Griege is more San Francisco. …..But that wouldn’t work with the Summer pallete …
( I know I’m over thinking this ! Ha,ha….)
Yeah, I don’t think the color is very SF either. It’s good that it’s bright, but it’s such a mainstream shade. I’ve never actually lived there (I’ve stayed for a couple of weeks at most), but I’ve always loved it, and a red (even if it is neon coral-red) doesn’t do it justice. Personally, I’d go with a bright baby blue – for the Castro but also for the way the air there is nicer than any other city I’ve ever been in- but griege works too.
San Francisco is a stunner of a shade.
San Francisco is so gorgeous. It’s a tiny bit cooler than Saffron fire and also has that touch of white that makes it pop more. I was just thinking to get Saffron fire at the Sephora sale. But held back– but this drawing my attention. Wonder if it’s that classic 1950’s red.
I won’t lie, I’m loving how bright these are.
Whew! Those are some bright ones!
