This is (was?) a charity lipstick released in partnership with the Movember Foundation, which works to raise awareness of prostate cancer during the month of November. The always lovely Julie from Swatch & Review picked this up on behalf as it is exclusive to Canada. I wasn’t able to find it on Sephora’s Canadian site, so it appears it may have already sold through. It was mostly opaque with a lightweight, creamy consistency that glided on without tugging and applied with smooth, even color. The lipstick wore well for four hours and was lightly hydrating. It seemed a bit thinner and less glossy compared to other shades in the range (neither a pro nor a con, just an observation).

Yeah, the Pink Ribbon is EVERYWHERE! But for the most part proceeds are so slim for it that they only get money through sheer volume of products.

But there is 18X more people suffering with diabetes in the US than 1.6mill with BC in last years 2014 US statistics. >_> but because it not life threatening on the onset it generally considered manageable in the media awareness. I’m pretty sure everyone works with someone that is diabetic.

And Type-1 is increasing rapidly in all age demographics. (20-50 at an alarming rate actually.)

This is gorgeous and it really brings out your beautiful eyes Christine! I don’t understand why a charity cause would not be available to EVERYONE. I certainly would have purchased it. Why not?! If it’s good quality, why not look pretty and help out when you can.

No wonder I couldn’t find it online. I thought the Canadian site was glitchy since every time I click on the product it said the page didn’t exist. Ugh I can’t believe it’s sold out already and the VIB sale hasn’t even started yet…I hope my store has it but probably not…grr

Surprisingly, between the two of Swiss Chocolate or Mauvember, I prefer SC even though Mauvember is the colour found most common in my stash. I think Maybelline’s Lust for Blush is similar to it, but not an exact match. i found SC more moisturizing as well, with Mauvember I have to put lip balm underneath. I wish Mauvember ran more of a lilac mauve like in their promo pics. I would actually return Mauvember, but feel sort of silly to return a product for charity hehe

I purchased it at my local Sephora during the Rouge sale. I didn’t purchase for the colour (not so flattering on me) but for the cause. I love that BITE did this and i’m surprised to learn that this wasn’t a campaign that reached the US.
Glad you got yourself a tube (thanks to Julie!). Let’s hope that other brands jump on the the philanthropic bandwagon!

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sucker for a great purple lipstick ( or eyeshadow!) and this one is a beauty! What a pity this is a Canadian exclusive! Then again, considering how many times they get excluded from getting products sold stateside, I’m also kind of gloating FOR them, LoL! ? Thank goodness for some decent dupes, though ?

I’m drooling! I want it! I hardly ever see shades that I love instantly. Waaaah. Why are you doing this to me Christine? 😉
We can’t get it here in the US?
