This is (was?) a charity lipstick released in partnership with the Movember Foundation, which works to raise awareness of prostate cancer during the month of November. The always lovely Julie from Swatch & Review picked this up on behalf as it is exclusive to Canada. I wasn’t able to find it on Sephora’s Canadian site, so it appears it may have already sold through. It was mostly opaque with a lightweight, creamy consistency that glided on without tugging and applied with smooth, even color. The lipstick wore well for four hours and was lightly hydrating. It seemed a bit thinner and less glossy compared to other shades in the range (neither a pro nor a con, just an observation).

Yeah saw this one in store, I wasn’t thrilled by the shade it’s self but i appreciate them putting it out.
Now if we had any brand supporting diabetes this month. lol
It’s really cool to see BEAUTY! brands get involved in a non-BCA cause. I also really appreciated that they did 100% proceeds.
Yeah, the Pink Ribbon is EVERYWHERE! But for the most part proceeds are so slim for it that they only get money through sheer volume of products.
But there is 18X more people suffering with diabetes in the US than 1.6mill with BC in last years 2014 US statistics. >_> but because it not life threatening on the onset it generally considered manageable in the media awareness. I’m pretty sure everyone works with someone that is diabetic.
And Type-1 is increasing rapidly in all age demographics. (20-50 at an alarming rate actually.)
Hopefully a brand will take it up as their cause!
So pretty! Love this lavendar pink. BITE should have a charity lipstick for USA too, like MAC Viva Glam –it would sell well
I was surprised it wasn’t both U.S. and Canada, since I know I’ve seen U.S. brands (very few, typically men’s care) ranges do something occasionally as well.
Looks beautiful on you! This is in stores as well, so people can still grab it there. 🙂
Yay! Thanks, Julie 🙂 And thanks again for sending!
YAYYY! GO JULIE!
She’s amazing!
This is gorgeous and it really brings out your beautiful eyes Christine! I don’t understand why a charity cause would not be available to EVERYONE. I certainly would have purchased it. Why not?! If it’s good quality, why not look pretty and help out when you can.
I was just as surprised as you, Nicole!
I was really bummed this was Canada only. It’s probably the Bite shade I’ve wanted most. I guess I’ll look at getting one of your dupes. Thinking the MAC one….
🙁 Aww!
I actually love the color and it looks pretty hard to dupe.
It was definitely not as dupable as anticipated!
Oh what a great shade! Too bad it may be sold out already. But I think MAC Personal Pick is a good dupe!
Seems like it is still in store, just not online!
No wonder I couldn’t find it online. I thought the Canadian site was glitchy since every time I click on the product it said the page didn’t exist. Ugh I can’t believe it’s sold out already and the VIB sale hasn’t even started yet…I hope my store has it but probably not…grr
Hope you can find it in store!
I saw it in store yesterday, but there wasn’t any tester so I passed. Might change my mind, specially since there’s a VIB event soon
Good to hear they’re still in stores!
Yay for Julie! 🙂 I love this color. If I can get to a Sephora store this month, I’ll have to look for it!
She’s a real sweetheart!
I loved the colour and consistency when I swathed it in the store, but it made my teeth look very yellow. 🙁
Aww!
This is gorgeous! Bite always makes such high quality lippies, only wish this one was sold in the US too. I’d buy this (and probably some more) in a heartbeat.
I wish they did as well!
Surprisingly, between the two of Swiss Chocolate or Mauvember, I prefer SC even though Mauvember is the colour found most common in my stash. I think Maybelline’s Lust for Blush is similar to it, but not an exact match. i found SC more moisturizing as well, with Mauvember I have to put lip balm underneath. I wish Mauvember ran more of a lilac mauve like in their promo pics. I would actually return Mauvember, but feel sort of silly to return a product for charity hehe
Hoping you can find a way to enjoy Mauvember if you don’t return 🙂
I purchased it at my local Sephora during the Rouge sale. I didn’t purchase for the colour (not so flattering on me) but for the cause. I love that BITE did this and i’m surprised to learn that this wasn’t a campaign that reached the US.
Glad you got yourself a tube (thanks to Julie!). Let’s hope that other brands jump on the the philanthropic bandwagon!
I was, too, Helen, since I’m sure they could have raised even more with a U.S. release!
I hope it’s not sold out! I’m heading up to Montréal this week and wanted to get one!
Julie said they were still in-stores!
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sucker for a great purple lipstick ( or eyeshadow!) and this one is a beauty! What a pity this is a Canadian exclusive! Then again, considering how many times they get excluded from getting products sold stateside, I’m also kind of gloating FOR them, LoL! ? Thank goodness for some decent dupes, though ?
I’m sure it is a nice perk for Canadians!
I love it! Interesting and gorgeous. You lucky Canadians!
It is fun!
I wish they sold this in the US, it’s so cute!
Me too!
I’m drooling! I want it! I hardly ever see shades that I love instantly. Waaaah. Why are you doing this to me Christine? 😉
We can’t get it here in the US?
I wish I knew the answer!
I bought this and I wish the shade suited me better but the texture is really nice.
Maybe try pairing it with a lip liner or gloss to make it work for you more! 🙂
I grabbed this literally the first day it came out and it is really lovely. Given the popularity of the cause, I’d be surprised if it didn’t come back in stock.
I hope they’ll make more!
It’s a pretty color! Not gonna lie, I’m pretty happy to see a proper use of the word “mauve” in a pun that makes people pronounce it properly. The “mahv” pronunciation drives me crazy hearing it from every YouTuber and their mother haha.
Haha! That is a good point.
