Bite Beauty Hot Harissa & Saffron Fire Amuse Bouche Lipstick Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Hot Harissa
Bite Beauty Hot Harissa Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium-dark copper with warm, red undertones and a satin sheen. The color payoff was fantastic with opaque, even coverage delivered in a single, fluid stroke. The lipstick had just enough slip to apply without pulling on my lips, but the product adhered well to my lips for stellar, six-hour wear that was comfortable and moisturizing. It wasn’t quite as kind to my lip lines as other shades in the range, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance.

Formula Overview
$26.00/0.15 oz. - $173.33 Per Ounce
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable.
The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamy with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They have a herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.

Saffron Fire
Bite Beauty Saffron Fire Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a vivid, medium coral with stronger, warm orange undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that was thicker and denser than typical lipsticks but not stiff or heavy to wear. The color applied evenly and wore well for over six hours, while the formula felt hydrating while worn.

Beautiful shades and I love Hot Harissa the best.
I just *knew* Saffron Fire would be a winning shade! So glad to see that my instincts weren’t off! Question is, do I need to get it, or do I have something to dupe it? Even if I do, is it this nice?!?
Something tells me I won’t need Harissa, with 4-5 dupes! Won’t have to replace Chili, either. Great shade!
Hot Harissa is hot! But I already have MAC Chili, which is one of my favorite reds.
Sam Ravndahl convinced me I can wear orange, so now I’m tempted by Saffron Fire (which she looks gorgeous in, of course)…
I love Sam Ravndahl so much. I want to be friends with her, lol.
As far as I can tell, we are all friends with Sam lol
Both are stunningly gorgeous on you!
Staffron Fire is my kinda color all the way I have 8 dupes lol. It’s so pretty!
Hot Harissa looks pretty!
IDK if the business with online only is making anybody else peeved. Now….. I get why cutting out the transport to the b&ms cuts cost to both Bite and Sephora and would allow more LE editions throughout the year. Suspect this is the direction that Bite is going: perm line in store, the rest online only. But… especially with newer Bite, the color nuances are their distinctive competency. Put those nuances through a few layers of camera/computer representations, allow no try before you buy? I predict some unhappy campers. I also find this extremely arrogant. ‘Let’s give online only a shot. It amps the LE frenzy…look how well the zodiacs are selling out…. That seems to make LE sell out even better.’ Hubris, baby.
These are going to stores, though, just at a later date (this Friday).
Thanks. Was getting anticipatorily miffed. Glad i’m wrong. Did the earth vegetable inspired ones go to store too? Never saw them. Not visiting as often these days.
I don’t remember, but I don’t shop in store myself, so it’s not something I’d file away either!
I love not just the colors but how smooth and creamy they look on the lips.
