This is an exclusive shade for VIB Rouge members, and as a note, the label on my tube (purchased online) says “Berry Rouge,” but it is listed as “Rouge Berry” online. The Amuse Bouche formula is supposed to have “bold, creamy” color with “extreme moisture.” The consistency was dense, firmer but didn’t drag or tug uncomfortably. Once the lipstick warms up against the lips, it starts to feel more emollient than many Amuse Bouche shades, but it still has that slight cling that the formula typically has that helps it adhere well. The color went on fairly evenly with mostly opaque coverage. It lasted for over six hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly hydrating.

Ohhh this looks nice on you.
Thank you!
Wow, from comparing it to the dupes, this is the best performing version by far! When all you do is lipstick, you have to be the best, and BITE delivers!
Very true! 🙂
Stunning shade!
It is very rich!
Well, I need a berry lipstick even less than I need a warm red, but this is just so lovely and one of my favourite sorts of colours. Bite are getting all my money.
Enjoy, Kate 🙂
I hate the concept of VIB-only products.
It’s really alienating to be cut off from buying cool limited edition stuff because one does not spend a lot of money at a particular store.
I wish they would just make it exclusive for a finite period of time, and then add it to the permanent range / open it up to all.
You have all the answers girl! Great solution.
This color is really gorgeous. Glad you have dupes listed.
It is!
This one definitely looks nicely moist and pigmented. The shade makes me think of wine.
Yes! It has a very grape-hued quality to it!
That’s totally unfair Bite! I’m a VIB, LET ME HAVE IT!
Awww!
LOL Erin you can have my VIBROUGE on this one, the color would swallow me. Is there a way to share a benefit? Honestly not sure this is my first year achieving Rouge (not sure that’s a good thing!)
This. Is. Perfection.
But…ugh!! I’m not a Rouge! Only a “regular” VIB. And I really LOVE this shade, it is one of the absolute BEST vampy, deep purple plum lipsticks I’ve ever seen. Dangit!!! ?
🙁 I wish they’d open up access after a month or something!
Love this, going to buy it right now!!!!
Enjoy, Bonnie! 🙂
Interesting shade and sounds like a solid formula within this range!
It is a good formula overall!
Now that is a BERRY lipstick!
It’s so deep!
Hmmm. This almost had me convinced to buy Nars Train Bleu (since I like the finish better than the glossy Bite), then I remembered that I have Creature from ColourPop — veeeerrrry similar. Few of the swatches online show how berry it is, but on me it looks just like the Berry Rouge swatches here. Money saved!
If you like super matte, Train Bleu is your winner in that color fam between that and Bite. So glad you found out Creature is close enough!
not going to lie….might need to order immediately.
Aww!
Why o’ why Bite beauty is not available in the UK :/
Boo! 🙁
Definitely feeling this color for rainy days and then all the time in autumn. I love my matte liquid lipsticks but moisture lippie days are a must too. I might take the plunge!
I like the Rouge only/LE products so I’m glad you review them. Rouge exclusives are one of the few actual product perks that seem special and a bit exciting for the annual amount we spend. I don’t spend just to get the perks but I do enjoy them.
It does have a very fall/winter vibe to it 🙂
This has been in my cart for the last 2 weeks, I’m definitely going to buy this. It looks fantastic on you Christine. I am so happy that it doesn’t apply patchy unlike Charlotte Tilbury’s Glastonberry (I’m silently weeping over how poorly it applies).
I’d love to know how long time and newbies to Bite feel about the new lipsticks versus the Luminious Creme lipsticks.
Thank you so much, CatLuuver! 🙂
The new formula is less moisturizing for me, and they are denser and adhere/cling better than the Luminous Creme (which were a lot glossier).
Oh, lovely!
I will admire this in the photos and sigh a bit as I can’t get it. I’ll comfort myself wearing MAC Cyber and head to Sephora to finally buy Train Bleu. Souds like a plan to me. Yep, it’s what I’ll do, very soon.
Cyber is definitely very similar so I think you are good 😀
Well, I have to say that I have been following your blog for quite some time, although this will be my first time commenting. Christine, this Bite color looks gorgeous on you. Your whole face lights up. I have seen so many bad reviews of this color (not formula, which everyone seems to love); and, honestly, I don’t get it. I wear dark plums and berries and purples all the time and i’m cheesecake colored!!! That color is quite breathtaking. I bought my mom the Amuse Bouche in Jam (she’s almost as pale as me) for her birthday; and, she rocks that color. She would love this color, too. Every color that you have modeled looks great on you, though. 🙂
Aw, thank you so much, Sabrina! That is really sweet of you to say 🙂
Jam is a gorgeous shade. How strange that there are bad reviews for the color itself and not re: quality!
Just got this in the mail today and I’m loving the formula and the color. It’s perfect for fall and cooler weather. I had been thinking about picking up Train Bleu for a while now, but was hesitant as I’m not a big fan of super matte formulas, so was glad to see that this got the same high marks from you.
I don’t usually jump to pick up VIB exclusives, but I’ve been spending less this year and am really glad I picked it up in case my Rouge status lapses.
Happy to hear you’re enjoying this shade, Tracy! It is a nice one for fall.
