Becca Spanish Rose Glow Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Review & Swatches
Spanish Rose Glow
Becca Spanish Rose Glow Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a light-medium, yellow-peach base with iridescent pink and pink-to-gold shifting sparkle and finer pearl. It gave me subtle warmth and cooler, a more luminous pink sheen when the light caught my cheekbones. It had good pigmentation in a single layer, which was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer more, or diffused for sheerer coverage if preferred. The texture was soft, slightly drier to the touch, but very blendable and sat well on my skin without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading slightly.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.25 oz. - $152.00 Per Ounce
The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed formula is described as having an "ultra-reflective shine" with a "creamy" texture that "applies seamlessly." In general, the texture of the highlighters is incredibly smooth, silky, and finely-milled with frosted to metallic finishes and the occasional more sparkly finish.
They tend to have a high-shine, more metallic finish and are a stronger highlighter, so they are going to be best suited to someone who likes an obvious highlight over a very subtle one. That being said, with a fan brush and a deft hand, one could certainly achieve a subtler, all-over luminosity as well, but if one takes a typical, tapered highlighting brush, there will be quite a bit of pigment and highlight on the skin.
I find that some shades can emphasize the look of pores slightly to moderately, depending on application. They tend to last between eight to nine hours on me.

No letter grade rating???
Sorry, it did not seem to save the numbers I put in last night, and unfortunately, we’re preparing for flood stuff here so I was out most of the day and only fixed it just now. So sorry!
Flood stuff, as in a potential real flood??? If so, please know that I’m wishing you well and I’m sure everyone here is. Fingers crossed that it misses you!
Arizona is getting the remnants of Hurricane Rosa (now a tropical storm), and while it’s not a lot of rain relative to other areas in the world, it is potentially enough rain in a short period of time (with the way our ground absorbs water). My home is in an actual flood zone, and I’m also taking care of another home (will be my parents’ home to retire to in a few years) that is in the area that has a pool (which is new to me) and had me in a tizzy for a bit.
Christine, I have to admit that this T.S. Rosa has me just a little bit nervous, too. Especially considering how much rain we had during monsoon. This building is over 60 years old, and during this past monsoon, not only did our courtyard flood up to our doors, but there must be some type of crack in the foundation because my carpeting was WET in the BACK hallway! Definitely don’t want a repeat of that. Hopefully, it won’t give either of us any issues, or my son who will be driving a shuttle in this mess.
I hope you’re doing okay with the rain, Nancy! Fingers crossed your home stays nice and dry and your son is safe!
Stay safe, Christine. I hope the flooding won’t be too bad.
Thank you! So far, it’s looking like we should be just fine 🙂
I’m so glad to hear that!
Christine, is it rated an A-? I only see and “-“. Thank you 🙂
Sorry, it did not seem to save the numbers I put in last night, and unfortunately, we’re preparing for flood stuff here so I was out most of the day and only fixed it just now. So sorry!
No problem Christine! I hope you’re ok with the flood threat!
I’m sure we’ll be fine but can’t say I’ve ever regretted being OVER-prepared 🙂
Just saw some news re: Hurricane Rosa coming towards Arizona and it looks pretty bad. Stay safe Christine and if the weather goes bad in your area pls take some days off. Safety comes first; we all understand and we’ll be here 🙂
Not really a big HL person, but this is lovely, and the Berlin looks fabulous. So tempted by the Beautylish foursome, that I hope it sells out!
I can see a minus but no alphabet rating – looks gorgeous anyway.
Your whole look here is totally banging! 🙂
SO sorry! I must have forgotten to save/update the post after I put in the grades and wasn’t able to fix it until late afternoon. It is fixed now, though!
Is this glittery?
It has sparkle!
Oh wow, that’s sooo pretty. I was going to try to buy the new pink Colourpop Disney hilighter but it was sold out within minutes. I think I might want this one instead even though it’s obviously a lot more money.
Beautiful color, and I love the embossed dancer design. So pretty!
Quite a complex shade and a very pretty colour.
Are you in a flood prone area Christine or is it just some really heavy rain coming your way?
Hi Genevieve,
My home is in a flood zone, but Arizona in general is preparing for possible flash floods due to remnants of Hurricane Rosa (now a tropical storm) moving through. It’s likely to be fine, but I’m risk adverse and a worrier, so I like to be prepared just in case.
This has such a ethereal glow to it, I *almost* see a blue reflect coming off of it? Then again, my eyes may be playing tricks with me. Either way; It’s a must for me!
It shifts to iridescent pink at times!
It seems like there is a slight silvery-blue reflect in the close-up photos.
Nice I have 3 dupes
I love flamenco. I bought it the moment it launched for the pan design! ?
