Becca Champagne Creme Glow Gloss Review & Swatches

Becca Champagne Creme Glow Gloss

Champagne Creme

Becca Champagne Creme Glow Gloss ($22.00 for 0.18 oz.) has a translucent base with lots of fine, medium, peachy gold shimmer throughout along with a bit of pink sparkle. It had sheer to semi-sheer coverage, which didn’t build up much beyond that, with good distribution of the shimmer and pearl across my lips for an even amount of coverage. The consistency was lightweight, smooth, and comfortable to wear without being tacky. If you’re into sheer glosses, you’ll want to take into account when looking at the rating, as this product was marketed that it had the “pigment of a liquid lipstick,” and obviously, it’s nowhere near opaque. It wore well for two and a half hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

$22.00/0.18 oz. - $122.22 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have the "shine of a lip gloss" with the "pigment of a liquid lipstick" and the "nourishing benefits of a lip balm." It's more like a semi-sheer to semi-opaque lip gloss with a lightly to moderately hydrating formula based on the three shades I tried out (there are 10 in total). The formula has a sweet mint scent but no discernible taste to me (with a slight tingle that doesn't last for long). The texture was lightweight, smooth, and balm-like that wasn't tacky and comfortable to wear.

This is blatantly not pigmented, so I did some digging. On Becca’s website, they describe the Glow Gloss as pigment like a liquid lipstick, but the champagne pop shade is a separate item on the website. The description and benefits do not mention it being pigmented. I think Becca should have gave the gloss a different name. The rest of the Glow Glosses are way more pigmented, so I could see why people could pick up this shade online thinking it will have more pay off.

Not even a little bit tempted. Sheer glosses just don’t work for me when they have this amount of shimmer and no pigmentation to speak of. My lips are just too pigmented and as the gloss wears off it is just not attractive and that is just supposing the shade of the gloss doesn’t go weird with the shade of my lips.
