YSL Gold Track (15) Rouge Volupte Rock’N Shine Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium gold with moderate, warm undertones and flecks of finer pearl and larger micro-sparkle throughout. It seemed to have a more translucent base, so the effect was semi-sheer at best, and though it seemed translucent, it darkened my natural lip color and made it appear warmer overall.
The impact would be minimized for someone with more natural pigmentation in their lips, though. The lipstick had an emollient, balm-like feel that glided comfortably across my lips, but it wasn't too slippery and smoothed out some of my lip lines. It wore well for two and a half hours and felt lightly moisturizing over time.
