Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Review, Photos, Swatches
Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed
Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38.00 for 0.28 oz.) is described as a “warm copper infused with rose gold tones.” It’s a muted, medium-dark copper-brown with gold and copper micro-shimmer and pearl. MAC Linda (LE, $21.00) is much lighter, less shimmery. ColourPop Swift (P, $8.00) is darker, less shimmery. NARS Fervor (Right) (P) is more metallic, redder. Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala (LE, $25.00) is lighter. LORAC Unapologetic (LE) is lighter. MAC Make You Mine (P, $23.50) is redder, less shimmery. Becca Papaya/Topaz (P, $27.00) is warmer. Chanel Canaille (89) (LE, $45.00) is more muted, redder. NARS Na Pali Coast (P, $39.00) is a cream product, redder. MAC Pleasure Model (LE, $25.00) is less shimmery. Charlotte Tilbury The Climax (P, $40.00) is a touch lighter. Illamasqua Supernatural (P, $24.00) is a cream product. MAC Worldly Wealth (LE, $21.00) is browner. MAC Sweet As Cocoa (P, $21.00) is darker, less shimmery. MAC Stylish Me (LE, $21.00) is darker, redder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
According to Becca, the formula behind this particular shade “fuses together the soft shimmer of a luminizer with the subtle pigment of the blush.” It actually had mostly opaque color coverage that was blendable to more semi-opaque to semi-sheer coverage, but it starts off rather pigmented if you use a more traditional blush or highlighter brush. I was able to get more subtle results if I used a fan brush, but even a feathery highlight blush laid down strong, noticeable color. I think it is going to work extremely well on medium and darker skin tones as a luminous blush. With the right application, lighter skin tones can use it as well, but it’s not what I would call “subtle pigment,” so keep that in mind when it comes to selecting a tool! I thought that with a fan brush I could get more of the sheen without color, but I still had a fair amount of color on my medium complexion–and that was with barely touching the edges of the fan brush to the pan!
Aside from it being far more pigmented than described, it’s really a lovely product, and I hope Becca will venture into more luminous blush shades in the future. The powder is soft, smooth, and dense while remaining incredibly blendable on the skin for a really diffused, even appearance. Applied with a fan brush, the finish was luminous without emphasizing pores, and when applied with a dense brush, it stopped just shy of emphasizing pores, but it’s shimmery enough that it is a fine line between beautifully glowing and pore-emphasizing. I find that Becca’s highlighters look even better in person with the way the light reflects off the sheen. This shade wore well for nine hours on me before fading.

I need this in my lifeeeeeeeeee
along with the stunning eye liners you used here 🙂 and lipstick too ….
Am I asking too much ???:(
Aww! It would be very pretty on your skin tone, Rashmi, but maybe you already have something similar in your stash?
lol 🙂
going by the dupes … i do have MAC Sweet as Cocoa , Becca Papaya Topaz and CHANEL Canaille 🙂
i will wait for some sale and then may be jump and pick it 😀 😀
but nevertheless , am really digging the two shades of liner you applied here 🙂 so gorgeous
This looks really pretty on you.Brings out your eyes so much! I like the fan brush application better and totally see what you mean. I hope they do make more blushes and make them permanent! Nine hours wear time..wow! I may try to get this if it is still available. Great review!
I figured since it was a luminizing blush that I’d be fine with a blush brush (and even then, I only touched the brush to the pan once! I didn’t even swirl!), but whoa!
Too warm for me, but it’s lovely looking on you. Yes, hoping BECCA will come out with more blushes and finishing powders !
I’d love to see more powder blushes!
I didn’t want to love this but it looks very pretty on you. Can’t decide if I should purchase now or wait for the Sephora spring event. Decisions, decisions, decisions! Thanks for the review ☺
No problem! 🙂
When is the Spring event?
I think it’s usually at the beginning of April. I imagine it will be all over blogs shortly.
It’s LE, so you may not want to wait if you really want it!
I know! But I definitely don’t need it! Just trying to decide if it’s love or not.
I was wondering if you could think of a possible dupe in the Make-Up Forever line of eyeshadows/blushes. thanks in advance!

The finishes are all pretty different applied, though.
Ordered this yesterday cant wait ..
Yay!
This is a very pretty color, but I feel I’m too fair for this. I am quite heavy handed, so I know I wouldn’t be able to apply this properly, ha!
It’s really quite pigmented so probably not ideal for fair skin + heavy hand! I was like, “Hmm, is it possible to apply this more subtly?” and usually a fan brush is perfect for that but still more coverage than anticipated.
This is going to look amazing on WOC! I need it!!
YES!
My thoughts exactly! Especially as a highlighter!
This looks so pretty! How would you say this compares to Estée Lauder’s Topaz Chameleon Pure Color Illuminating Gelee?
I don’t think it’s comparable – http://www.temptalia.com/product/estee-lauder-pure-color-illuminating-powder-gelee-blush/topaz-chameleon
You look so gorgeous!! I am definitely picking this one up 🙂
Thanks, Sara!
Too pigmented for me. I’m looking forward to getting the bronzey Poured one you reviewed the other day!
Totally understand! It is quite pigmented so I can see this not working out for everyone!
This…Is…LIFE!!! I need it.
Woohoo!!
Looks so dark but pretty blended out on your cheeks .. I’m still pinning away for Becca’s opal.
Monica.
It’s a really pretty shade – reminds me of a sunburn… in a good way, lol!
Oooh this one looks really lovely on your skin, Christine!
Thank you!
OMG I love this!! I’ve heard so much about it and ordered it sight unseen from Sephora. I’m very fair (nw 5-10) but im pretty sure that with a light hand and the right brush it will be beautiful!!
Thank you so much Christine the swatches are beautiful as usual!!!
My pleasure, Amber! 🙂
I can already see this is going to be a popular one… Fortunately for my wallet (and sanity, LOL!), this isn’t for me.
I think it will be!
Thanx to Sephora flash shipping (also dangerous) i got it yesterday and HURRIED to throw it on my cheeks (IG: kisham126) its soooo gorgeous and ur right, pics really do it no justice! i lightly blended it as a highlighter but yes for med-deep tones it’s like NOTHING i have.
What’s your skin tone like, Kisha? If you could share, I bet it would help others out! 🙂 I totally agree that this is going to be great on deeper skin tones!
I am confused by Becca’s highlighter/luminizer line. I guess this is this year’s version of the rose gold highlighter I bought a few months ago but with more bronze in it. I have fair/light skin and red hair so I thought the rose gold powder would be a good choice for me. I do apply it with a fan brush, but I seldom wear it. I should have returned it because it is just too much color on my face! The embossed pattern on this one is pretty.
This one is definitely marketed as a luminizing blush, though it says “subtle pigment of a blush,” and it’s not subtle, lol!
I was hoping this would run a little more rose gold than copper. It’s gorgeous on you, but a pass for me.
Thank you, Wendy!
Christine, I’m nw20, so you think this going to be too orange for my skin tone? :*
I don’t think it’ll be too orange!
When browsing Sephora aisles, I noticed these skin perfectors in 3 shades right away. Based on the review, these products are lovely. But they are so easy to pass by unnoticed in a store. Thank you Christine, for bringing these lovelies to my attentions.
No problem!
I can NOT wait. Mine is on its way to its new home ( YAY). I almost feel like I should have paid for shipping ( I dont pay for shipping if I can avoid it) instead of taking advantage of free shipping.
So excited for you to get it, Jazz!! 🙂
Just ordered it!
Yay!
I just received this today and I can’t wait to go home and try it on!! Wish I had a fan brush on me right now at work to try it but I’ll wait!! The packaging is adorable and it really does look great on you, Christine!
If you have a buffer brush, you can use that to tone down if it is a little too much pow! 🙂
WOW! That turned out so beautifully! I want it but I’m 99% sure it’s too warm!
It is definitely a warmer shade!
Ordered this on a whim before your review but I’m happy…I love pleasure model but this looks like it will give me even more color…Which I LOVE….Thanks for all the reviews you do so diligently for us!
YAY! I think if you love Pleasure Model, you’ll definitely like this!
What a lovely product – it is too dark for me, but I am sure they have a lighter one. It looks great on you Christine.
Luckily, they have ’em in the permanent range, but I’d love to see more blushes in various shades!
One of the very few products that I jumped in headfirst and purchased as part of a recent Sephora order (which will take some time to get here yet). The swatches and review confirm just how gorgeous it is!
I do expect application will be a bit of a challenge on my fair neutral skin, although I get along well with MAC Ambering Rose blush, which the gallery tells me has quite a lot more red in it. I have dark brown eyes and dark but vivid red (dyed) hair, so I gravitate naturally towards anything coppery.
Any suggestions for a fan brush that would work with this? (That isn’t by IT Cosmetics, as I can’t obtain any of their products in the UK *sadface*.) I don’t actually have one yet.
If you can wear Ambering Rose, I think you’ll like this one – but this definitely will give more pigment from the get-go compared to Ambering Rose (Becca’s texture is just so soft).
I actually quite like MAC’s fan brush! I believe it’s the 184 (they only have one…). You can also use your most feathery/least dense brush and/or buff it out at the end to tamp it down 🙂
I recently ordered MAC 184 after your post which is bookmarked since long time .. about must have face brushes 😀 😀
cant wait to try when it reaches here …
I just ordered this yesterday and I am so glad it will work on my medium olive skin tone!!!
Woohoo!! 🙂
I’m on the Becca highlighter bandwagon this week too. I bought this beauty as well as the poured Becca Skin Perfectors in Topaz and Rose Gold. I’ll be glowing all summer! I’m medium dark with golden/neutral undertones (NC50).
Nice! It is refreshing to see something so perfect for deeper skin tones.
How does this compare to Mac’s Gold Deposit?

how does it compare to the Mac Rihanna Bronzing Powder?

I just received my Becca Blushed Copper. I am an MAC NC50. I used it as a highlighter and paired it with NARS TAOS. I added a NYX teal eyeliner (lower lash line) and used one of my LE MAC Viva Glam lipglass shades (Cyndi). I love that shade and this combo for the spring. I am so over winter.
So glad you have loving it 😀
I think it looks absolutely gorgeous on you! I’ve been debating on purchasing…I am very fair. NW20 fair. I was actually thinking of using as a bronzer. What are your thoughts on that?
You could definitely use it as a bronzer!
