Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38.00 for 0.28 oz.) is described as a “warm copper infused with rose gold tones.” It’s a muted, medium-dark copper-brown with gold and copper micro-shimmer and pearl. MAC Linda (LE, $21.00) is much lighter, less shimmery. ColourPop Swift (P, $8.00) is darker, less shimmery. NARS Fervor (Right) (P) is more metallic, redder. Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala (LE, $25.00) is lighter. LORAC Unapologetic (LE) is lighter. MAC Make You Mine (P, $23.50) is redder, less shimmery. Becca Papaya/Topaz (P, $27.00) is warmer. Chanel Canaille (89) (LE, $45.00) is more muted, redder. NARS Na Pali Coast (P, $39.00) is a cream product, redder. MAC Pleasure Model (LE, $25.00) is less shimmery. Charlotte Tilbury The Climax (P, $40.00) is a touch lighter. Illamasqua Supernatural (P, $24.00) is a cream product. MAC Worldly Wealth (LE, $21.00) is browner. MAC Sweet As Cocoa (P, $21.00) is darker, less shimmery. MAC Stylish Me (LE, $21.00) is darker, redder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

According to Becca, the formula behind this particular shade “fuses together the soft shimmer of a luminizer with the subtle pigment of the blush.” It actually had mostly opaque color coverage that was blendable to more semi-opaque to semi-sheer coverage, but it starts off rather pigmented if you use a more traditional blush or highlighter brush. I was able to get more subtle results if I used a fan brush, but even a feathery highlight blush laid down strong, noticeable color. I think it is going to work extremely well on medium and darker skin tones as a luminous blush. With the right application, lighter skin tones can use it as well, but it’s not what I would call “subtle pigment,” so keep that in mind when it comes to selecting a tool! I thought that with a fan brush I could get more of the sheen without color, but I still had a fair amount of color on my medium complexion–and that was with barely touching the edges of the fan brush to the pan!

Aside from it being far more pigmented than described, it’s really a lovely product, and I hope Becca will venture into more luminous blush shades in the future. The powder is soft, smooth, and dense while remaining incredibly blendable on the skin for a really diffused, even appearance. Applied with a fan brush, the finish was luminous without emphasizing pores, and when applied with a dense brush, it stopped just shy of emphasizing pores, but it’s shimmery enough that it is a fine line between beautifully glowing and pore-emphasizing. I find that Becca’s highlighters look even better in person with the way the light reflects off the sheen. This shade wore well for nine hours on me before fading.

This looks really pretty on you.Brings out your eyes so much! I like the fan brush application better and totally see what you mean. I hope they do make more blushes and make them permanent! Nine hours wear time..wow! I may try to get this if it is still available. Great review!

I didn’t want to love this but it looks very pretty on you. Can’t decide if I should purchase now or wait for the Sephora spring event. Decisions, decisions, decisions! Thanks for the review ☺

OMG I love this!! I’ve heard so much about it and ordered it sight unseen from Sephora. I’m very fair (nw 5-10) but im pretty sure that with a light hand and the right brush it will be beautiful!!

Thank you so much Christine the swatches are beautiful as usual!!!

Thanx to Sephora flash shipping (also dangerous) i got it yesterday and HURRIED to throw it on my cheeks (IG: kisham126) its soooo gorgeous and ur right, pics really do it no justice! i lightly blended it as a highlighter but yes for med-deep tones it’s like NOTHING i have.

I am confused by Becca’s highlighter/luminizer line. I guess this is this year’s version of the rose gold highlighter I bought a few months ago but with more bronze in it. I have fair/light skin and red hair so I thought the rose gold powder would be a good choice for me. I do apply it with a fan brush, but I seldom wear it. I should have returned it because it is just too much color on my face! The embossed pattern on this one is pretty.

I can NOT wait. Mine is on its way to its new home ( YAY). I almost feel like I should have paid for shipping ( I dont pay for shipping if I can avoid it) instead of taking advantage of free shipping.

One of the very few products that I jumped in headfirst and purchased as part of a recent Sephora order (which will take some time to get here yet). The swatches and review confirm just how gorgeous it is!

I do expect application will be a bit of a challenge on my fair neutral skin, although I get along well with MAC Ambering Rose blush, which the gallery tells me has quite a lot more red in it. I have dark brown eyes and dark but vivid red (dyed) hair, so I gravitate naturally towards anything coppery.

Any suggestions for a fan brush that would work with this? (That isn’t by IT Cosmetics, as I can’t obtain any of their products in the UK *sadface*.) I don’t actually have one yet.

If you can wear Ambering Rose, I think you’ll like this one – but this definitely will give more pigment from the get-go compared to Ambering Rose (Becca’s texture is just so soft).

I actually quite like MAC’s fan brush! I believe it’s the 184 (they only have one…). You can also use your most feathery/least dense brush and/or buff it out at the end to tamp it down 🙂

I recently ordered MAC 184 after your post which is bookmarked since long time .. about must have face brushes 😀 😀
cant wait to try when it reaches here …

I’m on the Becca highlighter bandwagon this week too. I bought this beauty as well as the poured Becca Skin Perfectors in Topaz and Rose Gold. I’ll be glowing all summer! I’m medium dark with golden/neutral undertones (NC50).

I just received my Becca Blushed Copper. I am an MAC NC50. I used it as a highlighter and paired it with NARS TAOS. I added a NYX teal eyeliner (lower lash line) and used one of my LE MAC Viva Glam lipglass shades (Cyndi). I love that shade and this combo for the spring. I am so over winter.

I think it looks absolutely gorgeous on you! I’ve been debating on purchasing…I am very fair. NW20 fair. I was actually thinking of using as a bronzer. What are your thoughts on that?
