bareMinerals Whimsy Endless Glow Highlighter Review & Swatches
Whimsy
bareMinerals Whimsy Endless Glow Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a pale, iridescent white with pink-to-lavender shifting pearl and faint sparkle. It did have some whiteness in its base, so it may not be suitable for all skin tones unless layered over other, richer products or really sheered out. The powder had an incredibly smooth, lightly creamy texture–more like a cream-powder hybrid–that applied evenly and blended out effortlessly. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single layer but easy to control with pressure/brush density, which made it a more versatile product. It stayed on well for eight hours on me before I noticed any fading.

It's supposed to be "long-lasting" with "8-hour wear" with a formula that "instantly minimizes the appearance of pores" while giving "lit-from-within luminosity." The shades I tried had good pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was slightly powdery but applied well to bare skin and blended out without issues. They had more of a moderate-level of luminosity--shimmery but not metallic. They wore for eight hours on me, which was as marketed, before fading noticeably.

This is really pretty and I am sure that I could wear this as I am pretty pale but would only be concerned if the lavender shift would look like a bruise on my fair skin. I would like to check this out and hopefully it will be in store when I go to town next.
It’s a very pretty looking shade, but probably best on those a little lighter than myself. I do get away with wearing these types of light iridescent pink shifting highlighters during winter, however!
Okay, I am having a hard time resisting hauling 4 out of the 5 highlighters now that I’ve seen your review. I am totally eyeballing Whimsy, followed by Joy, Free, and Zen (QVC exclusive). Fierce would be too bronze for me.
This is a really gorgeous one, not surprising, since the first two listed dupes are two of my all-time favorite HLs.
A lovely shade for those pale enough to wear it. bareMinerals is doing really well on these products.
Christine does this shade have any noticeable glitter or sparkle when applied? The others don’t seem to have it but I wanted to double check on this one. I think shade would look nice on my very fair, cool toned skin. Thank you!
Yes, it has larger flecks in it, but I wouldn’t call it glitter.
