Anastasia Wine Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark, orange-copper with warm, reddish udnertones and a pearly sheen. It had good pigmentation with a very soft, blendable texture that wasn’t too firm or too soft. It wasn’t as dense as some of the other shades I’ve reviewed recently, but it applied well to the lid and blended out easily. On me, the color wore well for eight hours. Anastasia Truffle Glitter Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a slightly muted, medium-dark brown with warm undertones and a dirty gold sparkle and metallic sheen. It was intensely pigmented with a really smooth, dense, and lightly creamy consistency that applied well to bare skin and blended out well. The only issue I had was that the sparkle does separate a bit from the base as I blended and diffused the edges, though I had only minor fall out after eight hours of wear. NARS Splendor (DC, $25.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Urban Decay Lithium (PiP, $20.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). KVD Beauty Chalice (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Anastasia Chocolate (Titanium) Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a rich, dark brown with warm, reddish undertones and a pearly sheen. It had a really dense, almost cream-like consistency that applied beautifully on the skin with rich, opaque, and even coverage. The color lasted for eight hours on me. ColourPop Mooning (P, $6.00) is darker (95% similar). Tarte Bastille in the Night (LE, ) is less shimmery (95% similar). Le Metier de Beaute Autumn Rust (LE, $30.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | Anastasia Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is supposed to be a “finely-milled, highly-pigmented” powder eyeshadow. The brand has a large range of individual eyeshadows that are available as pan-only (no compact to hold them); if you purchase four, you’ll get a 4-well palette for $40 ($10 per eyeshadow), or purchase eight and get an 8-well palette for $70 ($8.75 per eyeshadow). The palettes are thick cardboard palettes with tabs on the side for easy removal/rearranging. There are several different finishes, and the performance can be better or worse depending on the finish, though it also ranges from shade to shade. On average, the formula is semi-opaque to opaque, lightly dusty to buttery, wears seven to nine hours, and is fairly blendable. The Metallic and Titanium finishes seem to be the best-performing to me, but there are some really standout mattes and shimmers as well. I have not tried the sparkle, satin, or velvet finishes as extensively as the other finishes, personally.

I’ll have some wine, truffle and chocolate please! Gorgeous shades! Pretty much everything you’ve been showing in your last few posts is rrrreally my cup of tea! 🙂
They’re really nice!
These look great! They’re not really my kind of shades, but I absolutely *love* Truffle Glitter!
Yay 😀
Why are these so good but her palettes are so crappy?
Most of the ones I’ve been reviewing are the Titanium finish ones, which are a more consistent + better.
Great review! Glad to see good grades as I’ve been in love with the new shades! Truffle is a lover! A handful I did not get because obvious dupes. You reviewer my favorites already! Always a pretty look! These have become my favorite powder eyeshadows. (ABH esp Titaniums)
Thank you so much, Joy!
I swatched some of these in store, and Truffle Glitter blew me away with how stunning it looked, really hard to capture the beautiful sparkles on camera. And Chocolate was so pigmented, dense, and creamy. Both were on my wish list, but after this review, will be on my buy list. I don’t know if you have them, but Rosette was also very good, and Pink Champagne was stunning. In the fall, I will be building a decadent Anastasia quad with some dark chocolates, burgundy roses, and champagne pink shimmers 🙂
Truffle Glitter is a fun one! The way it sparkles is hard to see – smooth in a reflective way but still sparkly.
Wine is my favorite out of the bunch. I also like Truffle and it’s good that they rated well.
Wine caught me by surprise, because I didn’t think it was going to be that color at all, lol!
These are beautiful shades!
Agreed!
Gosh, these are REALLY nice eyeshadows!!! Thankfully, I have many (too many?) of the listed dupes, which is nice to know. But the ABH eyeshadows are seriously blowing me away!
PS: Love this eyeshadow look combo, smoky brown and gold with a pop of blue is awesome-sauce!?
Aw, thanks Nancy! xo
Love this eye look!
Thanks, Nicole!
Those are really pretty!
They are! Have you tried Anastasia’s eyeshadows before?
I have tried the palettes, but the singles
Love these colors. They would work well with my blue eyes. Love your application too.
I do have similar colors so probably won’t buy. Has Anastasia made shadows for long? I think of brows when I think of this brand.
They have! They have done palettes for awhile, and then they released singles maybe two years ago?
Truffle Glitter is pretty interesting. Once again, probably all too warm for me.
Oh, bummer!
These are just beautiful eye shadows and I love Truffle Glitter the best. Great ratings too.
A really gorgeous eye look you have done Christine, especially with that pop of blue eye liner.
Thank you so much, Genevieve!
These are gorgeous! Love the look you did with them. 🙂
Thank you, Liz!
These shades sound delicious, and they look delicious too!
Haha!
Wow i love everything, Christine! *swoons*
Yay!
Wauw. So pretty.
They are!
Beautiful shades, especially Truffle Glitter. I really like Wine, too.
I like how rich Wine is!
These look so nice. I think I’m going to have to get some Anastasia eye shadows. Truffle Glitter is just so cool and doesn’t look like anything I have.
It’s a fun shade!
Interesting ones, and they all look good. I want them! 🙂
Yayy!!
Beautiful eyeshadows. I love them all.
They are lovely!
