Anastasia Stripped, Veronica, Kathryn Liquid Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Stripped
Anastasia Stripped Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a light-medium peach with a hint of rosy beige and a matte finish. It had excellent color payoff that applied nicely to the lips–even, streak-free, and matte without accentuating the texture of my lips. The liquid listick dried down quickly but not too fast, so I was able to maneuver along the edges and tidy up any areas without worry. This shade wore well for seven and a half hours and was slightly drying after five hours of wear.
The Liquid Lipstick is supposed to be an “ultra-saturated” formula that gives opaque coverage in “one swipe” that “stays put for hours.” I think the formula has improved over time, as some of the initial shades I tried were more problematic, but a lot of the newer shades have applied more evenly, been more opaque, and haven’t been quite as drying. The majority of shades are semi-opaque to opaque in a single layer, dry down evenly, and stay on for at least six hours, if not well beyond eight hours. I personally find most shades to be lightly to moderately drying over time.

Veronica
Anastasia Veronica Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a deep, muted mauvy plum with subtle, warm pink undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which made it one of the least pigmented shades I’ve tried from this formula. The texture was thinner and slightly watery, and it seemed like it did not dry down as evenly. Initially, I thought it just hadn’t finished drying, but I took the photo ten minutes after initial application, and it was transfer-proof at that point. The color stayed on well for seven hours and started to feel a bit drying after five hours of wear.

Kathryn
Anastasia Kathryn Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a rich, medium-dark reddish plum with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that covered the lips evenly and dried to a smooth, streak-free, totally matte finish. The texture was lightweight, thin without being watery, and easy to work with across the lips. This shade lasted for eight hours and felt drying after five hours of wear.

A shade with my name! I may buy it just because of that because I’m ridiculous. I always use pencil with darker shades, so I don’t think the consistency would be an issue. I could use a plum shade in my collection anyhow.
lol! If I saw something called Magellan, I’d probably buy it 😉 Christine is too common.
If I ever fulfill my very obscure dream of building a makeup line, I will name something Magellan. Just for you XD
I love me some Veronica! That’s one of my favorite mauvey nudes. I need Kathryn next! I don’t normally do reds but it looks so soft and pretty when swatched. You just made me want it all over again lol
Aww! I hope Kathryn works for you, Fancie! 🙂
I like the monochromatic look you did with Veronica!
Thanks, Katherine!
Kathryn is a lovely shade!
It is!
Because Kathryn is such a perfect rose shade, applies very nicely and isn’t uber drying, I am most definitely eyeing it! But the other 2 shades aren’t all that appealing for me. Stripped looks to be good quality, but too light to do me any favors. And Veronica is just an affirmative NOPE.
I’m glad one of them will work for ya, Nancy! 🙂
I love how this lipstick looks on you Christine! I don’t know why but this particular shade turns super dark on me and looks like a blackcurrent on me.
I was talking about the Veronica shade. Sorry for the confusion!
Aw, thank you, Amirah! 🙂
Veronica is stunning!! Oh goodness!!! I love those kinds of shades!!
It is a nice color!
All of them are beautiful, I wish they were not so drying!
I hear that!
I love love love Stripped! What a timely review / swatch post – I think I’ll have to pick this up! I really love the MUFE #103 so this seems like right up my alley!
Glad I could help, Stephanie! 🙂
