Anastasia Sepia Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark reddish-brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that spread well across the lips and didn’t appear streaky. The color wore well for four and a half hours on me and was hydrating over time. MAC Kiss Don't Tell (LE, $20.00) is lighter (90% similar). Anastasia Tara (-, $16.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). MAC Fab Tested (LE, $20.00) is cooler (85% similar). Anastasia Fudge (-, $16.00) is darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Anastasia Vintage Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a dusty, medium pink-mauve with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that covered fairly evenly. I noticed a little bit of color settling into lip lines, but it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance (only up-close). This shade lasted for four and a half hours on me and felt moisturizing. MAC Just Superb (P, $20.00) is less pigmented (95% similar). Bobbi Brown Pink Sorbet (P, $24.00) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). MAC It's a Strike (LE, $20.00) is darker, less pigmented, cooler (90% similar). Sephora Rose Petal (05) (P, $12.00) is lighter (90% similar). Buxom Creamsicle (PiP, $19.00) is lighter (90% similar). Tarte Double Tap (P, $20.00) is darker, more muted (80% similar). MAC Anything But Demure (LE, $20.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande 2 (LE, $21.00) is cooler (85% similar). NARS Bound (P, $26.00) is darker, cooler (80% similar). Dior Swan (263) (P, $35.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Anastasia Dusty Lilac Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium-dark pink-lavender with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a lightweight, smooth, and comfortable consistency that highlighted lip lines slightly. This shade wore well for four and a half hours on me and was hydrating. MAC Carousel (P, $10.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Pink Nouveau (P, $21.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Constant Craving (P, $24.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Snuggle Up (LE, $20.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). Anastasia Orchid (-, $16.00) is darker (80% similar). MAC Speed Up (LE, $20.00) is lighter (80% similar). Make Up For Ever 500 Lilac (P, $19.00) is darker, brighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

FORMULA OVERVIEW | Anastasia Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is supposed to be “opaque” with “high-shine” that’s “non-drying.” It is one of the more pigmented lipglosses out there that has a smoother, more cushion-y consistency that typically spreads well across the lips. Some shades gather in lip lines, and some shades apply streaky; it seems more common with lighter shades and milkier colors. The formula is non-sticky initially and develops slight tackiness over time. My experience from wearing the formula is that they are often lightly to moderately hydrating and wear three to five hours. They have a vanilla scent that isn’t too overpowering nor does it linger once applied (I notice it mostly in the tube).

Darn you – I love their formula! I don’t have Sepia or Vintage and they look great on you. I especially love Sepia on you. Interesting, Dusty Lilac pulls more lavender on me than on you. On me it’s more of a light lavender with pink undertones and I almost feel like it’s the exact opposite on you. Sepia looks like a color match to the Kosas lipstick I have (and love) in Fringe. I may go ahead and get Sepia to use over Fringe to add another layer of depth…

Oh It has been a long time since I’ve seen you rocking a warm/brownish look on your eye it suits you well. I have a question for seppia, do you think I can easily sheer down the coverage? I don’t really like opaque lip products but I really like this colour.

I would like to try these! They look very pretty. Formula is a big deal for me when it comes to lip products…I loathe stickiness haha So I might wipe them off before they actually wear off, and I’ll probably choose deeper shades that don’t settle into lip lines… but other than that, I’m excited to see how I like em 🙂 Dusty Lilac looks so bright and fun!!

Anastasia lipgloss and liquid lipsticks are my favorites hands down. The pigmentation is so great. I hate all the sparkly ones with glitter but I’ve been able to wear these all days with an acceptable amount of time of reapply for the lip gloss and the liquid lipsticks hold up so well. It’s the one lip brand I own the most of. These and Dose of Colors lip glosses are fabulous on the pigment. *side note, I saw the Macy’s sell on them and opened a new window…snagging these!

I have VAMP, Craft and Sepia…Craft is my favorite. I will say that I prefer the lip glosses more than the liquid lipsticks because as I like the Liquids they do not wear as long as say my ABH Peony lip gloss which can have color all day without a touch up but VAMP and Craft are amazing colors.

These are beautiful! With the opacity though they seem more like a liquid lipstick/lip lacquer than a gloss. The shades in this particular post are probably the ones I like best, especially Vintage. I love anything dusty, dirty rose!

To me a gloss ranges from sheer/clear to medium opacity, still sheer enough that color underneath is visible. Nice shine which lasts 2-3 hours, lightly to moderately hydrating, and either non-sticky or a little tacky.

A lacquer or liquid lipstick, in my opinion, has heavy to full opacity with rich pigmentation. The formula should last between 4-6 hours with intense shine at first, gradually softening to a glossy sheen by end of wear. The texture is heavier on the lips but still comfortable and has much more tackiness for longevity and to allow it to adhere to all areas of the lip. The formula shouldn’t be drying and should help lips remain comfortable for the entire wear time.

So basically to me a lip lacquer is like a lip gloss on steroids. Every aspect is intensified and taken further.

Vintage is exactly the kind of shade I’ve really been loving recently. It looks similar to NARS Belize, which is pretty much my almost-perfect MLBB (if only it were a lipstick…)

I am not normally a gloss person, but after all the raves I’ve heard about this line, Vintage is on my list to try. I thought about getting one of these glosses from the Macy’s sale, but none of the sale colors appealed to me.
