Anastasia Clover & Requiem Liquid Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Clover
Anastasia Clover Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark, grayish purple with cool undertones and a flat, matte finish. It did seem to lighten on my lips compared to swatched, and it looked quite different swatched/applied compared to how it appeared in the tube! It makes me think that it will look a little different across skin tones and undertones. The liquid lipstick was richly pigmented with full coverage in a single layer, and the color spread evenly across the lips without streaking. It dried down with enough time to spread the product but not have to sit around waiting for it dry over an hour. This shade wore well for seven hours and was slightly drying after five hours of wear.
The Liquid Lipstick is supposed to be an “ultra-saturated” formula that gives opaque coverage in “one swipe” that “stays put for hours.” I think the formula has improved over time, as some of the initial shades I tried were more problematic, but a lot of the newer shades have applied more evenly, been more opaque, and haven’t been quite as drying. The majority of shades are semi-opaque to opaque in a single layer, dry down evenly, and stay on for at least six hours, if not well beyond eight hours. I personally find most shades to be lightly to moderately drying over time.

Requiem
Anastasia Requiem Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a deep, bluish teal with fine pearl. The finish of this after it had dried down was still lightly tacky, and it was unlike any shade I’ve tried in the formula, so it might be due to the metallic finish (also a first for me in this range). It was thinner than usual, but it was still nearly opaque in coverage and applied fairly well. There was room for improvement, as there were a couple of areas that did not seem to be as opaque as other areas. It did sit well on the lips and didn’t “crack” when I smiled. The color wore well for over seven hours, though it started to feel drying after five hours of wear. However, I felt like this shade was more prone to breaking down with a solid meal compared to other shades in the same fomrula.

Requiem is stunning!
It is!
I wish I were bold enough or had an appropriate opportunity to wear a shade like requiem. I love teal, but I’m not brave enough to wear it on my lips.
Aww! Maybe one day you’ll find the courage to wear one — even if it’s just around the house!
Tiffany, I used to wear lippies like UD Frostbite in the 90’s but I’ve grown more timid with time and age. So what did I do? I was invited to go to a cheer competition (not my scene at ALL) and wore MAC Mean Green Machine with a crazy lip liner underneath. If I can do this at age 40, in rural Wisconsin, I have faith you can too! If you so choose ? I remember that these colors we wear are just a matter of reflected or emitted light. Colors should not be subject to judgement. Preference, certainly, but not assigned a meaningless value.
Amen Emily!
I really want both of these, especially Clover! Unfortunately, we only get the ABH brow products and contour kits in the Netherlands and all their other stuff is so hard to get without paying horrible taxes.
Booo! 🙁
I need an excuse to visit, I think bringing these colors to the ?? is as good as any!
I was really curious about the performance of Requiem so I’m glad it got a good review.
I’m not sure if Sephora will carry the shade though as there is no free shipping option to Canada with the Anastasia website yet to warrant a purchase from them directly just for 1 colour. 😉
I hope that Sephora eventually gets it! I feel like it’s hard to tell if things will be ABH exclusive or not!
These are both really unusual shades! I love it when brands release things that stand out. I might have to pick up Clover.
I love when I try something more unique in color, since it’s sooo hard to do!
YESSS!!! Requiem got a good grade! I was so hoping it would, as it looks like such a beautiful, lush teal shade.
Clover looks great, too. Probably not on me, however. Unless it went on darker than this.
Requiem was pretty good! Not perfect but definitely impressive for that type of shade.
Bleh why do they have to be drying!
The trade off of super longwear!
Use the hourglass lip oil under it. Helps so much! I use just a thin layer under my liquid lipstick.
Both are such unique shades! I am a sucker for deep teal colors like Requiem, especially.
They were!
I LOVE that bluey teal SO much oh my goodness.
I 100% will have to purchase that!!!!
Requiem has such a cool look to it!
I love them both but Requiem is stunning! It’s very unique and I love that it wears well too. I want it!
It is a more unique shade for sure!
Love your eye look! What did you use from the Mac In the Flesh palette?
Sorry, I don’t think I wrote it down!
These are both beautiful and are going on my wishlist. I’m so glad they’ll be permanent.
Thank goodness!!
They’re both peculiar and I’m sure I would happily wear Clover even at work!
Thanks for showing these beauties, Christine!!!
My pleasure, Valentina!
Requiem is gorgeous!!! But I’m not sure I can pull it off or I’m comfortable wearing that color.
Totally understand that, Brenda 🙂 At least you can admire from afar!
Requiem is stunning!
I do hope it’ll get here because I think I want it.
It is a rich shade!
Do you find that the new applicator is better than the old one?
I like it a little more, but neither gave me strong feelings either way, you know?
These are both 100% right up my alley!!! Glad they got good reviews I need em! 😉
Woohoo!!
Beautiful colours, especially Requiem 🙂
Agreed! xo
Is clover anything like ColourPop’s Marshmallow? Or do I REALLLLLY need to buy this one? 🙂

omg Clover is BEAUTIFUL and it’s almost exactly the kind of shade I’ve imagined I’d make if I hypothetically made my own lip product. 😛
They read your mind 😉
