Okay, so I am hunting this one down. I don’t think it has sold out yet and should probably wait for the Sephora sale but don’t want to risk losing it or end up paying the exorbitant fees on a secondary site. I have Becca Vanilla Quartz but this looks like it applies a little better. I know that the one eye shadow palette, D’Hiver is sold out of Sephora so will have to get that at TF or another online store, unless they happen to have it in Denver when I go there in about 10 days. I hope that it reviews well so I won’t get it until I have reviews.
Interesting to note: I have been using Temptalia to see swatches and reviews of older palettes, blushes and lipsticks, to determine if I want them. It appears that the date of posting the original post drops off and doesn’t appear when I have searched the item. So unless there is a post somewhere else that shows the date it was released or that it was LE from whatever, I can’t tell how old they are. Christine’s pictures are so much better than other pictures that it has helped me immensely to make the right decision but I do wish the dates were still there.
Hi Deborah,
I have this highlighter and it’s pale pink on me, nothing like Becca’s Vanilla Quartz or other pale gold shades. It may pull differently on warm skintones but on my vampire pale cool toned skin, it’s very similar to the lighter shade in Tom Ford’s Peachlight duo and Becca’s Pure Pearl (the only baked gelee highlight they made). Hope this helps!
It definitely helps, Cara. I am probably a bit more neutral toned than you but likely about as fair and I definitely prefer a pink leaning highlighter than gold leaning. The gold one’s that I have are languishing in the back of a drawer and I probably should just get rid of them, although I do still occasionally use them on my eyes. Besides wanting a pink toned highlighter, I also like ones that melt into the skin and appear more like wet skin than the more visible shimmer/glitter highlights. On me, with my older skin and my hyperpigmentation, the more shimmery/glittery ones do seem to emphasize the texture and color underneath. I am being more accepting of my hyperpigmentation so staying away from highly concealing as it doesn’t really help and can become more cakey. I have also tried color correcting the areas before concealer but again, not great. So embracing them is the way to go. I don’t want my cheeks to be the only thing people see when they look at me though! Overall, I think highlighters have gotten better during the period of time that I was taking a break from makeup and skincare and that is a good thing.
Thanks again for confirming that this one is the one for me.
I have this and it’s beautiful! On my vampire pale cool toned skin, it’s a pale neutral pink, very similar to the light shade in Tom Ford’s Peachlight duo and the one baked gelee highlight Becca released, Pure Pearl.
Another excellent highlighter – very subtle colour, but quite pretty.
Hey, Christine. Are you going to review the eye color quad from Soleil Neige collection too? If you are, I am very looking forward to it!
