Formula Overview
$38.00/0.14 oz. - $271.43 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be “richly pigmented” with “”supreme hydration” and “opulent matte opacity.” The consistency was smooth, velvety, and dense without being too firm for one-stroke, glide-on application (I found the original shades to be slightly firmer compared to more newly released shades). They had nearly opaque to opaque coverage in one layer and most were buildable.
They had a subtle sheen--more satin-to-cream in finish--that wore down to a natural matte finish within an hour or two of wear. The formula lasted between four and eight hours on me, and while most weren't drying, they aren't "supreme[ly" hydrating either. They are, however, comfortable to wear over a longer period of time and reapply well. There was no discernible scent or taste to the formula.

Ugh, so tempting! This is exactly my type of soft red that just works. But, I also realize that I have far too many lipsticks as it is, add to that, I hardly ever do a full face except once or twice per week anymore.
This is not a shade that I would normally be drawn to, but my goodness is the detailing on the lipstick gorgeous 😍.
Nice – like the colour, but not great – not like an A+ that you would expect from the price. Even Maybelline has a good dupe – Infra Red and it scored an A+.
Love Pat McGrath, but be careful ordering from her website, I have never received my Black Friday order from this last year. Customer Service won’t respond. There are so many like me with the same issue. From now on , if I even order from that brand , I will order from Sephora. Just a heads up!
UPDATE!! I received a refund for $65 today! Cannot be more grateful!
This one didn’t excite me so much, but I’m SO tempted by the re-release of the Voyeuristic Vixen quad!
Gosh, what an exquisite lippie! I wouldn’t want to ruin the design by wearing it, though.
Don’t need a red lipstick, but if I did, this would be it!
