Sheer Lipglosses | 2021 Editor's Favorites
2021 was definitely not the year of lipgloss! I reviewed around 70 glosses in total, so here’s a short ‘n’ sweet list of some of my sheerer favorites! I’ve split them into sheer/pigmented favorites because I find that’s how I categorize or look for a gloss. Sometimes I want something quite pigmented, and other times, I want a sheerer effect, whether to put on top of a lipstick or as a grab-and-go shade.
If you’re unfamiliar with how I like to do my year-end favorites, here’s the low down: I pull from the products I reviewed in 2021, regardless of whether they were new, limited edition, or an established range I’ve only just gotten around to reviewing. These are personal favorites, so they may or may not be the highest rated products reviewed during the year (though they will tend to be better rated, naturally!). Surprisingly, even with masks, I actually have used more neutral/”nude” shades under them more successfully than one may imagine! Some favorites: Fenty Gloss Bombs in Fenty Glow and Cheeky, Rare Beauty Nearly Mauve, PML Faux Real, and MAC Would Rather Lounge.
