Best Products of the Week | Vol. 327
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 20
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week? I did a look with Natasha Denona Gold palette I liked very much. Using Lime Chrome of course!
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Bareminerals Complexion Rescue and Bareminerals Mineral Veil Powder
Any products you want to use next week? I’ve been loving the Patrick Ta Major Dimension palette. I’ll continue using that and I’ll continue to use up my Chanel le volum and Givenchy Volume Disturbia mascaras and my Revlon Photoready Candid concealer
Lime Chrome is the prettiest shade in the palette!
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: For NYE, I did a smokey kind of look using ND’s Glam – a chamgagne shade over the lid, a softer grey on the mobile lid and a darker grey next to the lashline. I paired it with the one red shade that doesn’t turn pink on me – Clarin’s Joli Rouge Red Mecca.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: La Roche Posay’s Sunscreen 50+ – it has been so infernally hot here (just like Arizona I would say in summer) and sunscreen has been imperative.
Any products you want to use next week?: Yep, Lorac’s Fairytale Forest…
I’m so envious of you having that LORAC palette! I hope you’re loving it to bits. Re that ND palette – geez, I wish the shadows had more distinctive “identifiers”. I’d love to know which actual shades you used for that look you did! As nice as the colours are in that palette, I rarely reach for it because the “names” sort of put me off and confuse me.
To be honest, I have so busy and the heat has been so hot + taking the kids to the pool multiple days Mariella that I haven’t really had time to use it.
Yep ND got that one so, so wrong when she didn’t name the shades and has never made that mistake again….
Champagne shade – second from the right in the middle row
Softer grey – the one right next to the above – last one in the middle row
Darker grey – top row, second from the left.
I don’t let the names or lack of them put me off – it’s a great palette nonetheless and it would suit whatever you want to pair it with too.
Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: it’s been such an insane week of making dinners (Xmas on the 27th followed by NYE on the 31st, plus “morning after” breakfasts for the same crowd) that I can’t recall a makeup look that stood out.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Because I had so little time and was basically working like a scullery maid for days, it was the Estee Edit (remember THAT short-lived line) Radiance Activator Treat+Prep+Glow. I smoothed it on over my moisturizer and my skin looked very nice. So I looked like a scullery maid with glowing skin!
Any products you want to use next week?: my newest love – Buxom 24KT Stilettos. It is so gorgeous! I also want to use the Becca powder highlighters I got recently. Becca really knew how to make some great products and I’m so sad they’re no longer around!
Scullery maid! That’s exactly what I am! And I certainly know what you mean too. So many meals to prepare (and clean up after, wash the tea towels and sponges, empty the dishwasher x 10, put away all the tablecloths etc etc.)
Anyway, I am sure you were a beautiful looking scullery maid and your family loved you for it!
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, warm brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I combined the PMGL Celestial Divinity palette with the Sugar Drizzle Dill Pickle palette and really loved the result. Here’s the look of you want to check it out!

What was the hero product of the week for you?: probably the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer. But I have to use it with a very glowy/hydrating base to make it work best for me.
Any products you want to use next week?: whatever strikes my fancy! I get so many ideas, but what I feel like using changes day to day.
Oh Wow – Celesta you looked stunning!
