Bare

Kaleidos Bare Cloud Lab Lip Clay ($12.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a darker peach with moderate, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The product took about 10 minutes to dry down to a fully matte, more transfer-resistant finish, though it was semi-matte within a few minutes.

The texture was lightweight, velvety, and smooth without being too thick. It applied evenly and yielded full color coverage that lasted nicely for four and a half hours. The formula felt neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Formula Overview

$12.00/0.08 oz. - $150.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have a "cream-to-powder texture" that is "kiss-proof once set" with a "silky and weightless" feel on the lips. The brand didn't specifically make any claims about pigmentation in their description, but the promotional swatches included at the point of purchase show fully opaque coverage across the board.

They have a very lightweight, mousse-like texture that was very lightweight, velvety, and smooth with good spreadability. The applicator held a good amount of product without being too generous, as I did not feel like I had to wipe off excess. They took a few minutes to dry down, and the dry down time varied a little between some shades. They were forgiving of most lip texture and weren't too prone to emphasizing lip lines or settling into them.

Most shades had opaque color coverage in one layer of product. With deeper shades, two layers tended to be better for full, even coverage, despite the shades themselves being quite pigmented in a single layer, but they were more prone to spreading and diffusing unevenly. The shades tended to dry down within 15 minutes with some doing so within five minutes to a more transfer-resistant finish.

The formula wore between four and eight hours on me with deeper, reddish shades lasting longer and leaving subtle stains behind. They felt non-drying over time. I did not notice any scent or taste.

Pink Moon

Kaleidos Pink Moon Cloud Lab Lip Clay ($12.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a brighter, medium coral with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. This was one of the faster-drying shades as it was matte and transfer-resistant within a few minutes.

The texture was lightweight, smooth, and velvety with a heavy feel of silicones, but the actual product was very lightweight and comfortable to wear. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation that stayed on well for five hours and felt non-drying.

Even though they are non-drying, I do have very dry lips which is likely do to my constantly worrying my lips. It is a terrible habit but one I have never been able to break. Consequently, I think these would look really dry on my lips and not sure how they would look half eaten off.
