Well, here are some odds and ends that released (or will be released) this month, late in the holiday season! First, Wayne Goss has a new, six-pan eyeshadow palette ($55.00) and two pencils ($14.00 each) that launch on November 18th at 10AM PT.

Next, Fenty Beauty released two new shades in the Diamond Bomb formula (Royal Icing is exclusive to their site), which is a cream-powder highlighter that’s packed with sparkle. And lastly, NABLA Cosmetics Side by Side Palette ($39.00), which is a neutral palette.

I already ordered the nabla palette. I love the formula of their eyeshadows, in general. And I appreciate the way this color story is organized into quads. I am anticipating it to be a real workhorse for me and am very happy to see it swatch well.

While black eyeshadow is a workhorse in my routine for filling in my brows and setting my eyeliner, I do not know if I have ever actually finished a pan. I am really still in disbelief that Wayne is including a black in every single palette he is releasing. I have been actively avoiding palettes that include black eyeshadow in them simply because I have way too many already.

Well, when that palette (blah) is infinitely better than the liners,…not looking real good. As much of a perfectionist as he can be, surprised his whole line is so lackluster.

The Nabla palette looks nice, I don’t need it, I have so many nude eyeshadows and nude palettes I’m set for life I think. I can see loads of looks using this palette, so I am a bit tempted.
I sort of like the Fenty highlighters, but I don’t think sparkly ones will flatter my skin, pity, because now I really feel like adding loads of sparkle to my makeup. Maybe it’ll pass if I just use a sparkly lipstick… Hmm.
Now the WG palette, I don’t really know what to say. I think it’s a mistake having a black in every palette. I would rather have a great black single to add to looks if I felt like it. Also as others have said the greys are very similar. Personally I don’t care for the colour story either.
The pencils are very disappointing, and why name a burgundy colour Deep Amethyst, I see the name and think saturated darkish purple.
I feel I’m just complaining like a very grumpy person, but then I remember liking the Nabla and the Fenty products, so, maybe I’m not that bad. πŸ™‚

The Nabla palette looks pretty good value – their shimmers seem quite pigmented, although a couple of the mattes look patchy. Not quite sure why that ashy grey’s in there – it seems out of place. But on the whole it’s a good, versatile palette.
As for Wayne Goss’s offering – that is quite disappointing to me -the mattes look lacklustre and the inclusion of a black shade, which is often not used – is a waste of space in this palette.

I really want to support Wayne Goss makeup line but the color selection is lacking. Why put 2 similar matte gray shadows and another black shadow in a 6 pan palette? I thought maybe the eye liners? But those swatches look terrible! Oh well I’ve brought lots of Wayne Goss brushes and really love them! I finally got a Trendmood box and the Nabla Side by Side palette is in it! I may give to my niece for Christmas or keep for me.

I really do not understand how Wayne Goss has created one of the best brushes out there and settles for these mediocre looking colour cosmetics. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
