Chanel Rouge Profond (320) Joues Contraste Blush Review & Swatches
Rouge Profond (320)
Chanel Rouge Profond (320) Joues Contraste Blush ($45.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark red with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, so it was more pigmented than marketed (“buildable”), which was its only flaw. The blush had a finely-milled, silky consistency that was soft, blendable, and remarkably easy to use for a deeper, richer shade like this. There were faint signs of fading present after nine and a half hours of wear.

Formula Overview

The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering radiance” and “silky texture.” The pigmentation ranges from semi-sheer to fully opaque, depending on technique and skin tone, but it seemed exactly as described–buildable–without having to pile it on or spend too long sheering it out. The formula has an extremely smooth, silky consistency that blends out beautifully on the skin. Most shades wear around eight hours on me.
The formula is rose-scented but the scent was largely undetectable applied (but noticeable in the compact).

Simply stunning blush! Love it on you.
However, because I own Clinique Cola Pop and MAC Burnt Pepper, I’m good in this shade department!
i LOVE red blushes! this looks so pretty on you Christine!
I have this from the 2016 collection, is it the same?
Yes, it’s very similar! This is a re-release.
I think I have this too. A wonderful color.
Gorgeous blush and I have always loved this formula. I have Cola Pop but it isn’t that close of a dupe so this might be a possibility. I will check it out the next time I go to Spokane, which won’t be for a while. Looks stunning on you, Christine.
Very nice. Guess i ought to swatch the Zoeva against Cola Pop. It never even occurred to me that they were dupes, lol. Since the Zoeva lives in that glorious presentation box, i tend to overlook it. when i think ‘red’ i think of the 3CE blushes, especially Purity Red. And Exhibit A, which thank God, is palette sized. Is this Chanel as easy to ‘light hand’ as the Clinique? The ability to sheer out is one of my favorite things about Clinique Pop blushes.
Probably not quite as easily as the Clinique!
A very pretty shade Christine on you.
