ColourPop Skinny Dip & Playa Vista Lux Lip Oils Review & Swatches
Skinny Dip
ColourPop Skinny Dip Lux Lip Oil ($8.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a light-medium, yellowy peach with warm undertones and a jelly-like finish that was milkier than other shades in the range. The texture was lightweight, thin and spreadable without being tacky or clingy.
It had sheer color coverage in a single layer, which was as described by the brand, and the color applied well without streaking, though a bit of product settled into my deeper lip lines. The settling wasn’t noticeable in person, but it was the “worst” of the four shades initially released. The gloss lasted for an hour and a half but was moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.16 oz. - $62.50 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "sheer kiss of colour" that is "nourishing" and "lightweight." It's a creamy, smooth balm-like gloss with moderate shine that is comfortable to apply and to wear. It did have sheer coverage that applied fairly evenly with little to no settling into my lip lines (better than most glosses!).
They were hydrating while worn, but they only lasted two hours or less on me, which wasn't unexpected based on the texture (no tackiness and thinner than a longer-wearing lip balm). They had a sweet, almost lemony scent to me with no discernible taste.

Playa Vista
ColourPop Playa Vista Lux Lip Oil ($8.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a darker peach with warm undertones and a jelly-like finish–translucent but shiny. It had sheer pigmentation in a single layer, which was as described by the brand, but there’s a good chance the color will look quite different from person to person (and it didn’t look that different from Hot Shot in the line).
The consistency was smooth, like a gel-like balm without any tackiness, and it was comfortable to wear and smoothed out a lot of my lip lines. It stayed on well for two hours and was hydrating over time.

I see now that the title of the post doesn’t have Dew Drop, but on the temptalia home page, I see the Dew Drop image on the hyperlink for this post.
Hey Maggie!
It’s clear, so I just gave it a rating since there’s a review at the formula level, but I didn’t realize it would still show up on the homepage, so I’ve deleted it now.
I really love Playa Vista as something to warm up my mauvey liver-lips! This could work very nicely for that purpose.
Skinny Dip wouldn’t even show up on my lips!
