I succumbed the last time to the fear of missing out and I bought “love of my life” after watching some influencers on YouTube.
Your swatches came a week or so later and they were much more true-to-the color and I remember thinking that if I had seen them, I would have saved my money. Also, having makeup products that I do not use always feels like a burden to me.
I promised myself this time around that I would not give into the hype and FOMO and I wouldn’t buy anything until you upload your swatches. I congratulate myself for my instincts. None of these lippies work for me, from what I see from this post.

Would you find Lisa’s video shows the color more realistically?
Lisa Eldridge lipsticks are the only lip products that still excites me! I obviously have every single one of them.
I received Velvet Beauty on Tuesday and have been wearing it every day! It’s such a lovely finish. A bit darker than it seemed from the (possibly overexposed?) studio pictures, but I actually prefer it to the color I thought I was getting. I would definitely like to get another in the future.
Mmm, Velvet Decade looks delicious like chocolate! Velvet Midnight and Muse, too! Those are my picks.
I love Lisa’s lipsticks. I have 4 now including Velvet Fawn and they arent like anything else in my opinion. Thank you for swatching the other shades!
I have bought a set of three and I really like the colours of these, vibrant and nicely pigmented! Muse is especially flattering, Beauty is more common and warmer than I thought, Fawn will probably be too light on a number of people unless you use it with a darker lip liner (the kind of look I personally never go for). My only complaint is the lasting power of these, I have to reapply after 3 hours even whithout eating or drinking, was expecting a bit more since these are mattes…
Funny because for me they last eight hours, basically like a liquid lipstick. My problem is I think they look a bit chalky.
I made my first purchase of a Lisa Eldridge lipstick this time and I picked Velvet Myth. I am so glad I did! Your swatch is pretty close to what I see, but Myth is also a bit of a chameleon and looks redder at times. I love it so much. I put it on last night and the beautiful stain it left lasted through dessert, a bunch of water, washing my face, brushing my teeth, and was still faintly there when I woke up this morning. Also, I hate matte lip products, but this formula is so comfortable and not-quite matte. I really cannot day enough about how much I love this lipstick.
I can’t wait for your dupes as I went for Myth, Beauty and Midnight as they are usually not my picks but I didn’t wand to go for Fawn and Muse as I think I already have a lot of lipsticks, that are similar in colour, even though these are such a stunning formula.
So, I picked up Velvet Decade for my daughter. It is a “her” shade if ever there was one. For myself, I picked up Skyscraper Rose since I didn’t buy it last time. They arrived two days ago and I have worn my shade and really love it. It is a very comfortable matte to wear and is definitely a “me” shade.
I picked up Velvet Beauty and the Love of My Life restock and have been enjoying them so much!

I can’t wait to see your dupes for Velvet Beauty because I really, really wanted that one, but it sold out too fast! I DO have Velvet Myth and wow, it’s really gorgeous. I have 3 Lisa Eldridge lipsticks (Jazz, Ribbon, and Myth) and I really enjoy them!
I purchased all shades except Decade after watching Lisa’s video. I’m out of town and won’t see them until Monday. I enjoy Lisa’s matte formula and invested the lipsticks as a Christmas present to myself. Your swatches look close to what I expected except for Decade, which was good to see the red undertone that’s not visible when worn on the lips. I passed on Decade after buying Natasha Denona’s Naya lipstick, a milk chocolate shade that lacks any red tone and looks horrible on my lips. I trust Lisa’s would be better but I also didn’t like the contrast of the lip shade with the inside of the mouth in her video, so passed on that shade.

I too bought Naya, think it looks wretched on my lips and I ordered Velvet Decade to replace it. It’s scheduled to arrive on Monday. I returned the Denona this afternoon.
I brought the Dark Velvet set and Sky Scraper Rose for myself, love them all. Later I ordered a set with Velvet Beauty, Muse and Decade. I plan to give a couple as Christmas gifts. Love this formula!
I splurged for my birthday and bought all of them. I do love her eye for color and these are amazing but sometimes a little too matte for me which makes me sad but I can always put gloss over to help if needed. Remind me of the Pat McGrath formula but maybe a little less drying.
I have all of these. I have a no-buy rule and broke it for these. Her formula is exceptional and at least for me – it lasts a good while without the need to reapply (leaves a stain at the end of the day)
