Natasha Denona Sunrise Eyeshadow Palette Swatches ($65.00 for 0.67 oz.) is a new, permanent palette designed to complement the Sunset palette.  It’s smaller than the original 15-pan palettes (like Sunset), which contain 1.20 oz. and retail for $129.00 (or $107.50/oz.).  I’m thrilled to see this smaller size, which is more like the size of the average eyeshadow palette.

Sunrise is actually most cost effective, even on a per-ounce basis, as it is $97.01/oz.  Each shade in Sunrise is 0.044 oz., and for reference, a full-sized eyeshadow is typically 0.05 oz. (like MAC and Urban Decay).  The palette launches June 3rd at Sephora, Beautylish, Selfridges, Cult Beauty, and FeelUnique.

I really hope she does more in this smaller format, as these are too warm for me. I am in love with the mini Lila I bought and have had to be especially delicate with application because of how saturated the colors are. A little bit of her shadow goes a long way and it’ll take a long time to finish one!

The smaller format is SO amazing!! It’s still a ton of product, more compact/travel-friendly, still has removable pans, and wayyy less pricey — like it’s still an expensive palette, but it’s much closer to high-end than luxury. I was like NATASHA, one a month, please!

Maggie Avatar

Ah, I didn’t know her pans were removable, that’s good to know. Portability is quite important to me as I tend to wear more makeup when I travel.

This price point makes Natasha Denona more accessible for me. Before, I would just admire but not pull the trigger.

I’m SHOCKED to see this price from her. I love the colors so this might be my first from her even though I probably have some dupes from the Warm Edit. Poppy looks like it might be a dupe for the tragic Mars?

I was guessing around $65 to $75 with $75 making more sense – cheaper but you usually pay a little more for less (on a per-ounce basis) in these instances… Surprised, a little, because ND palettes seem to sell well at their jaw-dropping $129 price point. I’m guessing $65 keeps it low for now and gives them some room for raising prices over time without it getting to $75 or $80 really quickly.

I was originally not going to get this even though the colours are so appealing to me, but learning it is smaller (and cheaper) makes me much more likely to purchase it. I never go through eyeshadow, so I love smaller sizes (actually for everything)

I am excited for this. I know I don’t need this b/c it looks like it shares a lot of shades with the Desert Dusk palette from Huda, but this calls to me in a way that that palette does not. Probably b/c I prefer ND shadows over Huda’s. I will probably be buying this on release date. I have a $25 Sephora gift card, so I would get a little off the already amazing price.

Very pretty but I feel like most of the colors are similar to all the other warm berry palettes that have been on trend for a few years now. I am pretty sure I could dupe most of the colors that I would actually use from my collection.

I am excited to see this layout and price point from ND, though. I’d love to see a version of her Star palette in this format. I absolutely love the color scheme of that palette but the full size is way too big and expensive for me and the mini just didn’t appeal in the same way.

Smaller format is love! A sentiment that seems to be echoed by everyone here. I also think that along with the size, the price tag is much more digestible for a broader audience. I think this is a nice palette, but honestly, I wear reds/magentas/yellows never. I really would’ve loved her BIBA palette to have been this size. I’ll probably test this stuff out in-store but definitely won’t be picking it up online. On the other hand, I wish Pat McGrath’s holiday 2018 palettes would have all gone on sale on Sephora.com this past week – I would have snapped those guys up. Well, the pink one that is, since it’s the only one I don’t have.

I’m excited for this palette! Just picked up the Biba and Gold palettes and I love the formula! This price point is amazing, too.

I really wish this had some more unusual colours as I love the format and the price point. These swatches look amazing. I have lusted after the brown/green $129 palette for forever and would love to see a couple of these based on some of those shades. I have just never been able to make myself pull the trigger. I have a couple of her 5 or 6 pan mini palettes. Can’t remember but I think they are 5 pans. Anyway, they weren’t my favorite. Maybe it was just the ones I picked but they were so dusty and I had all day fall out. I just didn’t want to work that hard for the few shades in each of the palettes that I liked. I am very interested in these and fingers crossed someone from her team tells her what Christine and the rest of us have asked for!!

Christine, I am sorry I don’t know technical names of things computer driven but on my computer when I log onto Temptalia it takes me to the blog home page and as I scroll down I can see all of your posts. The picture for this post is one of Nars shadows and lippies. Is that what you intended? The wording is correct saying, Natasha Denona etc but the picture through me because it was Nars products and a cup of espresso!

I will buy this for the yellows. I don’t have any in my collection. I have some of her smaller palettes and I enjoy her shadows and these yellows look great …

This palette is definitely not for me even though it’s very pretty. I’ve never been into super warm colors. I remember ghosting makeup for years then coming back and ABH Modern Renaissance was all the rage and I was like ????? when did this happen?! What’s with all the suuuuuper red orange and yellows?! Lol

I would love if she rereleased the other palettes in this size! I’ve been lusting after the Star palette for so long!

Brenda Avatar

I’m so very excited for this! As soon as I saw it I knew I was getting it. I’m even more excited as it seems Natasha is increasing her line with smaller palettes at a great price point. I really hope this trend continues. I may actually hit pan on a product.

Lucie Avatar

This appeals to me more than Sunset for reasons I can’t quite pinpoint. I prefer to create my own with singles, but I’m pretty excited about this palette. And normally I’m totally in it for the shimmers/metallics/duochromes, but the swatches of some of those mattes (citrine, morgan, carnelian, and morning especially) are making me swoon. It’s pretty rare when the matte shades in a palette have me more excited than the others.

Alecto Avatar

My kinds of colors! — to the degree that I probably have dupes for 85% of them.

This palette has a few colors that are too close to justify being in the palette, but for a 15-pan, palette, I’m pretty impressed with how few examples of that there are. I think this one could be boiled down to 12-pan, but IMO, it’s a solidly differentiated palette as is, with a couple unfortunate overlaps. And the swatches look good! Not getting it (for many reasons), but it certainly looks like a worthy addition to the realm of hot color palettes.

I am really happy she decided to release smaller amd cheaper formats! I have her Gold and Lila palettes and I love them both (eventhough I am not using Lila enough!)
However, I don’t think I will be purchasing this one as I already have a whole lot of really warm shadows.
Poppy and Phlox looks pretty similar and same for Awakening and Azalea…
Would be cool if she would decide to re-release her bigger palettes in smaller formats as well, I am sure a lot of people would be happy!
